Virtually impossible. The nicotine levels in e-liquid are extremely low, and less of it is absorbed than when smoking cigarettes. People have vaped 100mg/mL(although it is highly advised against) e-liquid with no ill effects before.

EDIT: Just, you know, don't drink the bottle of e-liquid.

nicotine poisoning.... we need to figure out how much makes it a poison... :)
some consider 1 puff off of a ciggie is poisonous because it will cause a difference in the way one feels.
But as far as getting deathly ill from nicotine, that takes quite a bit of nicotine to do that. A person can get "nic sick" from over vaping tho...
you get sweaty, headachey, a tightness in the throat developes ( feels like a lump in the throat when swallowing) and the sure sign is the urge to throw up....

but one has to remember too alcohol ( booze) is a poison too... :)

It's doubtful that vaping will poison you. The normal reflex is to stop vaping when dizziness begins and it will go away in short order. As was said above, don't drink it. You will reflexively put it down if you vape too much.

We all got the dizzies when we first started smoking. It made us stop until it passed. Ecigs produce much less nic than the average cigarette. Absorption is much slower since most of the nic isn't absorbed through the lungs. It's absorbed through the mucous membranes, so it can creep up on you and stick around a little longer if you overdo it.

If you get dizzy, get clammy skin, or your ears ring, put it down until it stops. Most of us are chain vapers compared to the way we smoked, because vaping is a less optimized delivery method for nic.

I must agree with everyone here. If your making your own e juice keep the concentrated nicotine away from your skin
..otherwise, in a regular situation your fine because the concentration is so low. If you were working with say 100 mg concentration you would want to be careful but in regular cases your just fine. When I make my own e juice I do work with 100 mg concentration of nicotine so I use precautions but the concentration of regular e juice is low enough it shouldn't bother you. If you have had too much nicotine your body will let you know. You will feel dizzy, sweaty, and slightly ill. If that happens, take a break from vaping, drink some water and have a bite to eat and you should be feeling better soon. But as far as actually poisoning yourself, you would need to be wor king with a MUCH higher concentration. Hope this helps. Best wishes

No way anyone has vaped 100mg before. 48mg,50mg, yes. Someone trying 100mg would probably have a sore throat for a while. Many may even be knocked off their feet.

Nicotine is not a persistent or pervasive poison. If you get a mild nic poisoning effect, i.e. an "overdose" on Monday and you're alive on Tuesday, there will be NO long-term effect. I've gotten a troublesome O.D. on nicotine twice in 3 years. Once, when I was starting and had not discovered I need WTA, because I kept vaping trying in vain to get satisfaction. It gave me an anxiety attack. Unfortunately, my reaction to anxiety is to want to smoke, and I KNEW that would NOT help, of course. So I got some 0 nic and vaped that until the anxiety went away. The anxiety lasted quite a few hours, until I had a REALLY BIG Indian all-you-can-eat meal, which ended the attack.

The second time, I was hanging out with chain-smoking relatives for 18 hours and got a similar effect, but had not brought my 0 nic with me. So that was torture, 'cause I wanted to SMOKE, or at least vape. I cut down on vaping (I couldn't stop), took a nap, then had another huge meal (Thanksgiving this time) and then was OK.

Trust me, if you're getting too much from vaping you'll feel like crap LONG LONG before there is ANY reason to get treatment for it and LONG before your long-term health is in danger (with the possible exception of people already in bad trouble with their hearts, who should probably avoid anxiety attacks) but if you've had this happen, I strongly recommend carrying 10 ml of 0 nic in your kit unless you have the will power to avoid oral satisfaction when anxious.

I vaped a 30ml 24mg bottle of Rootbeer Float in one day in March. Played hockey the next day and collapsed on the hockey rink. Strict orders to stop playing hockey and under went every test known to man. Told doctors I think I was dehydrated. Three weeks ago I had my final doctor appointment and my doctor said "I don't know what you are doing differently but keep doing it because you are healthier than I have ever seen you." I told him I quit smoking last August and since then I have been vaping. He said "you keep vaping then." He then changed my file to Nonsmoker. I did lower my nic level down to 18 after that collapse.

Oh it's been done. There was a thread about it on here a couple years ago. It may have been removed because of the potential danger of it.

That's not entirely true. While it might be the normal reflex for some to stop vaping when dizziness begins, some people actually continue vaping harder because they think they feel like they are dizzy because they haven't got ENOUGH nic!

100 mg nic base is 10% nic. I vape 12 mg nic juice. Anything higher at the level I vape at, causes nic overdose symptoms. Dizzy, bleary vision, unstable motivation, some sweats.

Before nic poisoning sets in, the body tells you to stop. If one persists, the body objects louder. Vaping, one is more likely to pass out and die from suffocating on vomit before nic poisoning, when overdosing.

One thing I have not seen mentioned here is that when you continually expose yourself to something, your body can naturally tend to form an immunity to its effects. Nicotine is no exception here. Point being, what may be a toxic level for someone who has never smoked may not be dangerous to someone who's been smoking (or vaping) for several years. There are numerous sources on the internet with information about the LD50 of nicotine, but at the end of the day it all comes down to your own biology. There is a reason that these things are marketed for adults. You have to be responsible about it. Instead of focusing on a number to avoid, familiarize yourself with the symptoms of nicotine poisoning. Whenever you try a new flavor and/or nicotine level of juice, start out slow and small. Pay attention to how your body reacts. The key to safety - for specifically you and specifically your body - is not going to be found on a wikipedia page. It's all about what you need and what your body can handle - and never forget that this will be different for everyone, and that even your needs will change over time. You are your own best insight into the answer to your question.
