I have not purchased anything yet but getting ready to do this.
The nicotine I have seen gives you an option of vg/pg ratio and I was thinking of starting with 36mg.
I have played with the calculator a bit so I see how it works.
What I don't understand is if I get my nicotine base at the ratio of PG/VG I want and need to add PG?VG to the recipe, how do I go about keeping that ratio? If the recipe says add 2.5ml pg/vg do I add 1.25ml of each to keep it the same? Or should I get a different mix with the nicotine?

If your going to use a PG/VG mixture. You will usually get your NIC in either PG or VG but not a mixture of both. Then you would add Plain PG or VG to the mix to make up the pg/VG ratio.

I'm not sure what calculator your using but I would recommend using the e-juce me up calculator.

then Read my blogs before getting started

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

What ratio of PG/VG do you want and what nicotine level?

Are you using ejuicemeup calculator?

I vape 12mg @ 80/20

I start with 60mg nicotine in 100% VG, then have to add only PG.
EXAMPLE - unflavored - 10 ml bottle - 2 ml nicotine + 8 ml PG brings me to 12mg @ 80/20
EXAMPLE - single flavor (10%) - 10 ml bottle - 2 ml nicotine + 7 ml PG + 1 ml flavoring = 12mg @ 80/20

I am using the calculator in the post above yours. I wanted my PG/VG ratio around 60/40 or 65/35. I plan on making some 18mg and some 24mg nicotine and was going to buy 36mg base.
