still new to this forum so i have to post this here i guess but anyways im looking to start doing some diy. I have pg/vg and flavors. ive been practicing my mixes without nicotine just to learn what im doing and also my wife is vaping zero nic so she was my guinea pig lol ... ready to start mixing nicotine for my juices. my question is pg or vg based nicotine better than the other for mixing or is it preference thing ? was thinking pg based because vg is so easy to come across. anyways any advice would be greatly appreciated .

It really depends on what your desired final ratio of PG/VG is. If you decide you prefer a higher VG final mix you will likely be better off with a base with more VG and so on............

i was thinking about that since my target is 50/50 there would be no room left for flavors . i thought about just getting 6 mg nic also since thats what i vape but same thing . still have to have room for flavors lol.... think im just making it harder than it is like when i started building coils for the first time ,,, luckily i have this forum or i might have given up at the vuze e cig ha

I mix at 70% VG, 12 mg nic, so I like using a PG carrier for my nic base, easier to draw and measure and by time you add the flavor extracts which are usually PG base also I only have to add a small amount of additional PG to my recipe. Feel there is a higher chance of an accident happening trying to draw VG based nic through a needle then sloshing PG based nic around. I used to use VG base nic, but struggling to draw it through the syringe blunt tip needle was a pain so ended up pouring it into the syringe instead, which made it a bit harder to get accurate measurements without making a mess. I use 100 mg nic base PG carrier.
