Another member of ECF was kind enough to share some of his Nife52 with me. I would like to try this wire to see what it vapes like. Supposedly the best for TC. Hopefully not much metal like aftertaste...it is only 52 percent nickel I believe. I had a slight taste of metal with some NiChrome70 believe it was but maybe this will taste differently hopefully just taste my juice :)

I can use Nife52 on regular Wattage Mode correct? Also when I want to jump into TC do I go to the Nickel TC Mode on the XCube 2 or something else? I looked up the TCR 0.004036 listed for Nifethal 52 Alloy, and also 0.004 in the same thread for Kanthal Nife52.
Found here: The Ultimate TCR List

Not sure if Nifethal 52 is the same thing as Kanthal Nife52 but pretty sure it is, even though I dont know much at all about this wire. I have some 25G Nife52... assuming it will need a good number of wraps I read somewhere the resistance is close to that of titanium. I had planned to do a build in one of my older tanks like my orchid v6 or billow v1 just in case I dont love it Im not stuck using it for a few days in my nicer tanks like the Mutank and the Aromamizer but I could do a build with the Nife52 in the newer ones rather play it safe though and try it in a tank I rarely use anymore.

Thanks for any suggestions, will be exciting improving my TC experience.

yes you can run nife48/52 in wattage mode or tc. it has different names but anything the word nife in it is either nife30 or nife48/52. i have 26/24 gauge nife48/52. doesn't the xcube have a manual tcr adjustment? i'd use nife's tcr rather than running it in ni or ti mode on the xcube. i find i use my 26 gauge more often than the 24. the res is higher for dual coils, which usually ohm to .12/13 when i do a dual 7/8 wrap. i find Ti to taste cleaner tho. break in time required for nife. at least for my spools. good luck, hope you like it.

It does have a manual TCR adjustment. Think you have to pick NI or TI or SS Temp Mode but from there you can put whatever number you like. Believe NI has the closest TCR to NiFe52 or maybe TI. Guess I'll try some 3mm coils 8 wrap duals with the NiFe52. That way no doubt I should be able to keep it above 0.1 so I can dry fire it in Wattage Mode.

Thanks

nife48/52 is closest to Ti in terms of the TCR. 0.004036 is the TCR for nife48/52.
