Update on Renegade RY4
I received 2 x 30ml bottles of Renegade RY4 in the mail. 16mg and 24mg bottles. These were sent to me from the owner because of my original review I wrote. Just because they are free, I will still give my honest review and that of my hubby's.
I've loaded 2 new Boge regular resistance cartomizers with each juice running on a Prodigy V3.1 at 3.7V. Battery has been used for 1 hour so it's not fresh of the charger. I also loaded 2 more new Boge for hubby's ProVari (usually set at 4.2V). Hubby doesn't know what's in the cartomizers that I sent with him. I only marked his with the mg and asked that he report back to me what it tastes like, TH, and vapor production.
Old Review: I had a problem some time ago with a bottle of Renegade that I purchased. Gene, the owner of NLV, was kind enough to send me one of each strength to see if the flavor improved. I was leaning towards it being a bad batch because everything else that I've tried has been outstanding (the vanilla even grew on me). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that was the case.
Here hubby and I go with the new Renegade RY4's.
Both bottles are a golden color and is much different than the original bottle that I purchased which looked more clear than golden. The person I sent it too also noted this in a PM back to me that it didn't taste the same as what he already had been using nor look the same.
I smelled the juice in the cartomizers..very nice aroma. Much different than the first bottle which hardly had any aroma. Vapor production is fantastic, as is all of NLV's juices. TH is great at both strengths. Now the flavor for both bottles. I'm comparing this to my original review on Renegade which I couldn't hardly taste any type of flavor in it nor could my hubby. What a total turn around and now I have some flavor. Not overpowering and leans on the light side but not as light as what my original bottle was. I no longer have to strain my taste buds but it's not an "in your face" flavor either. On the inhale, I'm getting a nice vanilla and caramel taste. On the exhale, this is where I'm getting the light nutty taste topped with sweetness.
I called hubby to see if he tried both of the "mystery" cartos that I sent with him. He said he vaped both dry and that one hit harder on his throat than the other but he liked both. When he asked me what they were, and I told him, he replied, "You mean these are the same juice that we couldn't taste before?" That was his exact question. I said yes and that I have 2 bottles sitting here waiting to get vaped. He was pleasantly surprised at the difference in flavors compared to the original bottle. He also informed me that the "harder hitting" one was his for the road...LOL. Oh well, I can't hog it all since I've gotten him into vaping instead of chewing. Note: Forgot to mention that he said he had to turn his ProVari down to 3.8V. At his normal 4.2V he was only getting hints of flavor.
Overall: This is a complete 100% improvement when comparing it to my original purchase. We are impressed with this latest batch and it has made it into our rotation of juices.
Note: One other thing I want to mention. A co-worker who used to use ecigs but has totally quit smoking and vaping stated that "whatever" I was using had a very nice odor to it. I let her try it and asked her what she could taste in the juice as far as flavors went. She stated vanilla, a nut, and a sweet caramel-like candy taste. I then asked her that if she started vaping again, would this be a flavor that she would buy? She said yes because she didn't like really strong flavors but not light either. To her, it is a medium flavored juice.
Vapor - 5
TH - 5
Flavor - 4 (I don't recommend this to a person who wants a bold flavor but I would recommend this to someone that likes a medium flavor...only reason for a 4).
Conclusion: Definitely a flavor worth trying. This flavor is best at 3.7-3.8V's...much over 3.8V and you get flavor loss.
From myself, hubby, and a co-worker, 4 cat paws up to you, Gene, for turning this vaping experience around for us.
Thank you.
