NJoy died on me?

After a month of flawless Njoy use, the two batteries went haywire on me within the span of 10 minute. There is a solid red light on the end and doesn't go out until the batteries die. I charge them both again when they went dead, but as soon as I touched them, they flash red until the die.

When place inside the atomizer there is virtually no effect. No smoke yielded upon on drawing.

I have never experienced this before and I am searching for help on the issue as soon as possible. I have been smoke-free for the lat month and I think I might relapse.

I looked through the forum briefly for anyone who had a similar problem.

If anyone could help me on the issue it would be appreciated. I'm not sure if it is both of batteries that have gone wrong or if it is the atomizer.

Thanks,

I have earlier post it at general discussion area...suppose to post it here...I have done this on poorly functional atomisers and supposedly suspected dead atomiser(well, not all are revivable(if there is such a word) ;) ..)

This small "SURGERY" I suggested should be tried on a Hardly functional or ?dead atomiser...or else shouldn't be attempted on a fully functional unit(although I done most of my patients devices -whether new or old units)... I have observed most atomiser head tend to get "clogged up" because of the steel wool structure..it gets "rusty" and closes up all the pores...that will lead to a poor burn rate or contact of the liquid (either from a cartridge or direct drops) to the filament plate buried within the steel wool.

First ....get a sharp and long enough twezzer or a srewdriver that can touch your atomiser head...then "SCRATCH"..yep, you read that right ..SCRATCH the Atomiser head with vertical small cuts parallel to the length of the atomiser..you'll get either indents cuts and some of the metal wool torn off but not completely destroyed...By doing that..you actually "uncovered" the clogged rusted wool which actually hinders the liquids burning rate when it heat up ..now put a few drops of e-liquid and see whether this helps or not to improve the smoke production....

Warning..since the burn rate has been increased ,so will be the amount of e-liquid used...it tends to "eats up" more e-liquid but it does give much better experience....and performance....let me know if it works.... ;)

I will post some pics of a scarred atomiser later on if anyone wants to have a reference point...

I was reading as many of the posts in the Tips & Tricks section yesterday. I remembered the above.
I'm a newbie so can't recommend but the above post was by jimldk!

Ravenbuster,
Here's another link from this board:http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/phpBB3/cleaning-t30.html

Look under the Tips & Tricks section for more.

There was one tip less drastic posted by Smokey_Joe. I can't find it now.
It was about turning the ecig part that contains the atomizer upside down in a glass with a tissue on the bottom overnite.
The purpose was to drain that cylinder of excess collection of the elquids. I did this once when I thought my NJoy was working up to par. I thought it worked.

And of course, call or email NJoy! There customer service is suppose to be excellent. Check out the solutions posted here with them. See if the recommend one more than the other.

Ravenbuster....

Your batteries is having problems not your atomiser..the vacuum switch got stuck by liquids or even dust..therefore it lights up and can't switch off....ask for a replacement or if you want to try DIY method..do this...use a paper clip, straightened one of it's end and slowly poked into the battery hole..once touch bottom ,don't poke thru..but slowly twirl it around as if you are digging it out or cleaning it..then suck on the battery to test whether it light up gently even with a low pressure suction deployed....if it is okay, then you can use it or else you need to get it replaced....that's the best way to clean it so far.... ;)

i wonder for how long the sellers of the more expensive (guaranteed) brands will keep replacing these in essence disposable not last for very long parts for..

three members of my family have been e smokers now for two months.. defective parts so far..

mini cig atomizers purchased.. = 14 plus the three we started with.. we have a few spares perhaps 4 unused.. we dont expect them to last at full new type functionality for longer than a week perhaps two.. the odd one fails very quickly the ends come loose..

min cig batteries.. 4 plus the 6 we started with.. we dont have any spares and could do with at least another 4..

we are mechanical type dudes and have tried every trick in the book to extend the life of these things.. we now consider them to be disposable items.. we have taken them apart and know exactly how they work..

when new (mostly) and with certain brands they function with lots of smoke.. a week later its a different story.. purely an average this but i think for full as new functionality one atomizer per two weeks (heavy) use is about right.. batteries.. well lets say after two months use one is going flat before the next one is charged.. in short they still work but the original five or six hours between use dosnt last long..

as for the guarantee... well just just like with car tyres and batteries it covers "defective materials and workmanship".. which dosnt mean one with a two year guarantee will last two years.. in short normal wear and tear isnt guaranteed..

the ruyan 45 dollar throw away cigar is about right.. just over priced by a factor of ten..

just the thoughts of three savvy e smokers..
