I am having a problem with taste and odors with my DIY attempts - so I pose a question.

Does the change in nicotine strengths change the flavors or make the vape have an odor?

I ask, because I have mixed some juice (coffee - cherry blend and coffee - irish creme blend) that my family says smells compared to the store bought premixed juices I got from vendors. I have upped it to a 10% mix thinking that I had mixed it to weak and both mixes have steeped (hot water first, shaken well and then about a week on the shelf), but there seems to be little if no flavor and my family says they smell compared to what I used to get from vendors. When I mixed these I made a stronger nicotine level (I upped it to 26mg - 28mg) wanting a stronger blend to assist with staying off of the analogs (still smoke a few a day (2-4))...

So it feels like either the flavors are to weak even at 10% or the higher nicotine levels seems to be causing my problem. The flavors are from Perfumer's Apprentice and the PG / VG is from RTS Vapes.

Any advice???

If you can't smell any flavor then you are not adding enough. Did you also get your nic from RTS? If so then it has to be your flavorings. Double check your math to make sure your nic strength is correct and then add more flavoring. I use 20% but most use around 15%. Although I don't know about Mrs. Ts flavorings or where she gets them I seriously doubt they are the same ones she uses as she keeps her ingredients secret.

Thanks, sorry for the original mis post of vendors - when you are semi-retired it means you need to look things up before you type them (lol)...

It also means your wife thinks that you are now her errand boy - had to run up to the store for milk and eggs if I wanted supper (reason for delayed reply)...

But thanks, I will try bumping up my percentage again with the flavors and try capella's once I start getting low...

I've found with perfumers apprentice flavours they're not that concentrated, I have to start at 18-20% whereas f'arts are strong and I use around 5-8% for those. Capellas are very good and easy to use but most I have to use around 18-20% apart from vanilla custard which is incredibly strong. The first time I made it at 20% it just tasted like cheese lol 2% was enough.

I'd like to see your face if you tried tpa coffee clear, or dark chocolate at those percentages :)
Also...I find 5-15% plenty for Capellas....especially after steeping for a day or 2. :2c:
