Yes, I’m a newbie…in the forum anyway.

Well, here’s my story. I’ve been vaping for over a year now. I’ve only tried 2 companies of ecigs. The first one was blu. Having nothing to compare blu to, I thought it was “the one” but my batteries would die way too fast and I had to replace them every couple months or so. Also, I never seemed to get the nicotine my body craved. So along with vaping blu I would smoke up to 7 regular cigs a day. I finally had it and wanted to try something new.

I ordered the south beach smoke deluxe kit. Right away I had issues. They didn’t ship it out right away like they should have. I received my kit and the smaller battery was already dead. I am pretty happy with the long battery life between recharges of the long battery though. At first it was lasting up to 6 hours of vaping and now, after a week, it only lasts 4 hours. I just ordered another battery from them and already having order issues. Needless to say I’m done with them and not going to bother anymore.

Thanks to sites like this and doing some actual homework on the subject (which I should’ve done in the first place) I’ve decided to try Smokeless Image. The price is right and I’ve heard really good things about them. I have everything I need picked out except for the flavor. I’m stuck on that issue. I can’t order right now anyway since I spent what my budget allows on SBS this month. I’ve decided to ask you all, who use the Smokeless Image liquids, what you like best? I’m not a fan of sweet flavors. I want more of a nutty tobacco flavor. I’ve heard great things about 555 but am afraid it would be too sweet. What would you recommend?

Thanks for helping out yet another newbie.
:)

Smokeless image is a great company and they have a great product. Two things though. Make sure you get at least 2 batteries. Also, if you are going to get a pcc, get the mega pcc. It is the same price, but holds 2 batteries and 3 cartos.
Spend the extra $1 for the 78mm batteries, you get 50% more battery life.

If you have any problems, their customer service is second to none. They fix problems right away and are extremely fast at shipping. every order I have placed has been at my door within 2-3 days with standard shipping.

As far as flavors, I am not a big tobacco flavor vaper, but I have tried their tobacco flavors. The 555 is nice, not too sweet, so is their ry4. I suggest getting the smooth sampler, then you can try all of them. You can refill the SI cartos at least 15 times, so once you find a flavor you like, get a pack of cartos and a bottle of juice. If you are going to use their juice, I always suggest getting a pack of prefilled cartos in the same flavor. There is no difference in price between the prefilled and the blanks, so doing it this way will give you 5 free ml and then you just use the juice to refill those cartos.

Here is a great promo code for them "sivolt50" will get you 15% off the order.

Also, once you get your volt, head to their subforum on here, go to the stickie called faces of volt. If you submit a picture of yourself with your volt, they will give you a free battery, bottle of juice or pack of cartos. Even the shipping is free on that.

Thank you so much Mr. Outlaw. That's exactly what I was going to do. I'm actually going to get 3 batteries and the mega pcc but also with a wall adapter and usb charger. I'm getting the auto batteries. I was going to try a manual for the first time but heard it wasn't much different than the auto. I am also doing the other suggestion and getting the smooth sampler. I love the selection they have and again their prices are great!

Thanks for the advice and the welcome!:)

call them first about the usb charger. I would suggest the Pro starter pack. It comes with 2 batteries, a pcc and a pack of cartos. the reason I say call first, is because when I bought mine, the usb was included. If you have an iphone or ipad, the plug that you use for that will take the usb charger or cable so you dont need a wall adapter.

the pro starter pack is $65, but you can get 15% off with the promo code. When you buy a pro starter pack from them, you can do add ons for a little less than buying separately.

I suggest getting 1 manual and 1 auto battery. Everyone has their preference. Whats nice about the manual is you can heat it up for a quick second before puffing and get more vapor. the auto is nice on the road because you use it like a cig, just like the blu.

As far as the pcc, I can charge my battery about 3-4 times on a single pcc charge. If you plug it in with a battery charging, it will charge your battery first, then the pcc, which is nice. If you have a usb charger, then you can basically charge 2 batteries at once.

Remember, once you get your volt, you can get your 3rd battery for free.

Maybe i will just get the car charger then instead of the pcc. I was going to get the pcc because I have a road trip coming up in August. In the car for 16 hrs. Other than that I'm home all day... Except for the usual errands.

I didn't know you get the 3rd for free. So when I order a kit with 2 batteries and pick a third one out I get it free?

Oh, and I think I will try the manual. I'm real curious about it. It's hard to go on others opinions when everyone is different. Might as well give it a try!

I personally like the pcc. You can take it anywhere and it is slimmer than a pack of cigs. So if you are walking around, you can charge a battery. Plus, it will store 2 batteries, and 3 cartos. You can also pick up a usb car charger in any gas station or drug store for a couple of bucks, so you can charge a battery that way.

As far as the free battery. Once you get your volt. Go to the smokeless image subforum on here. Under stickies, you will see a thread called "faces of volt" Post a pic of yourself holding your volt or a volt box and IMAGINE will message you. You get your choice of a free battery (any color, and size), a pack of cartos or a bottle of juice. They generally mail it out the same day.

You can also try modding if you have the resources to do so and there is a wealth of information on the forum on how to make one. You also have control of the battery you would like to use as well. I use an 18650 and it for almost two days :) There are also mass produced mods if you don't want to make one. I started out with an 801 when they first came out and I would need to charge the battery so much! Good luck and happy vaping!

Smart move trying the manual battery. It's not so much a matter of opinion as you think. It's pretty much a consensus of everyone who has been vaping for any length of time. Manuals are better. If they weren't, all of the high-end mods and mid-sized e-cigs would offer an automatic battery. Almost none do. None of the mods do and only one mid-sized e-cig has an auto battery, and it's not that popular either.

And get the PCC. You won't regret it. If the battery in the PCC is full, it doesn't slow down the charging of your other battery at all. If it's not full, that means you needed it.

Thanks so much! I would have to do a lot more studying for that. It sounds like another language at the moment lol I don't want to have all the toys that are associated with vaping. Not that there is anything wrong with people who do. I just want to NOT smoke period! I still haven't quit completely and smoke about 3 a day. I want to smoke 0 :)
