BTW my asthma is kicking in a little this morning. Just a wee bit tight. Found an inhaler that expired Feb 2014. Should I run to an ER and tell them I've been vaping?

This right here is my fear, anyone that goes for anything, will automatically have the blame placed on vaping. I have terrible allergies, and they are giving me fits right now, no way would I go in to see a doc with all this going on.

Trump likes to call it fake news, which apparently, finally, sucked him in. I call it fake journalism. Things have changed since 2016. There are enough vapers in the swing states to turn a presidential election. If Trump doesn't figure out how to backpedal out of this issue he's a one term president.

That's my fear too. It's frickin allergies. Or could be that I choked on some food last night. My nose is stuffy. I am not worried. Ive survived worse.

The only station that I see that has covered our side of the story is Fox News. I know the lefties heads spin at the mention of them, but they have a young personality there - Kat Timpf - that vapes. She was on one of the actual news programs and expressed all of our concerns: harm reduction among ex-smokers, age limitations on vape sales, black market and TCH (with vitamin E) use among teens, and the freedom and desire among adults to vape flavors (she does).

Honestly, like them or not, it has been the fairest assessment I have seen on any network.

I would say the change started much earlier than 2016. More like the mod 1980s.

Trump seems to say anything not to his advantage is fake news so whenever I hear him say that all it says to me is Trump thinks that news is not to his advantage. Information as to whether it is true or not is not given.

so limitation of media. Its one of the very few businesses Rupert Murdoch insisted on remaining in control of. He lost some and was incredibly angry about it. The time he lost total control and the time Trump started complaining about FOX news jibe almost exactly.

Murdoch is the father of the American tabloid. The national enquirer, the weekly world news. Basically every tabloid, all his. He is famous for being the man who broke the oath model of journalistic integrity and has heavily supported the most right wing of right wing candidates for years.
Ed Koch a New York mayor once attributed his election solely to Murdoch.
There are whole swaths of the United States where he owns or very carefully controlled the sale of literally every available media outlet in the area. He to some degree controls everything people in that area see and hear about the outside world.

As to the actual issue, It’s been covered many places. NPR came out with a few pieces saying it wasn’t nicotine ecigs for example. I’ve seen it almost everywhere. Much of it is negative.
I know the lefties heads spin at the mention of them,
there are reasons for that. Mostly they are famous for their massive lack of news accuracy and their use of manipulative systems to distribute news

That you’ve seen. And you said it’s all you watch.

Is this better? Nice throwback to the days of dot matrix printers and green monitors.
It’s considered mid to low grade. Better than active antagonism towards readability though. Different fonts are used for different purposes. That font was an attempt to imitate a serif font within the constraints of early monitor resolution using a minimum number of pixels. New Century Schoolbook, for example was designed for large amounts of body copy. Books with large pages where keeping track of what line you are on is difficult.

On the subject of fake news. Whenever I hear folks talking about the mainstream media it makes me think of my favorite TV show, Ancient Aliens. Like when they say, mainstream archeologists assert that the pyramids were built by Egyptians 5000 years ago, but ancient alien theorists believe...

The mainstream media has problems but the alternatives are almost always far worse. People reject the regular media sources and immediately fall into a black hole of ACTUAL fake news. Entirely made up junk. It isn't that hard to check out the news with a bit of healthy skepticism. It helps to look at stuff you don't like as well as stuff you do like, which a lot of people don't do any more.
