I have had an e cig since mid/late February. I started with a 510 and now have both a Riva and an eGo. After trying MANY juices, I have found a few that I like, but still not the ONE for me.

I have noticed I don't get the satisfaction from my e cig that I got from analogs, and now I'm not even getting satisfaction from them either. I'm smoking 7-10 analogs a day.

I am vaping between 12 mg & 24 mg depending on the flavor I choose, sweet flavors, tobacco flavors, menthol, you name it.

Any suggestions?

Are you smelling the vapor? You need to smell it. Cigs dump smoke all over you but with ecigs you need to let your nose have some.

Have you tried Turkish blends. The nutty somewhat pungent smell of a Turkish blend reminds me (and others) of a freshly opened pack. Turkish blends like Backwoods Brew Casablanca for a lighter complex one or FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship for a strong one hit the spot for me as analog replacements.

My other find was Cocoa. Most US cigs have cocoa in them. FreedomSmokeUSA sells a Cocoa juice and I add that to my cart or carto along with a tobacco. And I now vape Vapor4Life WOWbacco (the cartos are not for 510 but they sell the juice) and that is a dark cocoa tobacco (amazingly a clear liquid). And their WOWBoy is the same w/ a bit of mint added. Cocoa was the other key to my satisfaction.

The final puzzle piece was Boge cartomizers. What a dream after screwing with carts and attys. I love Boge cartos. On a slim 510 you can only use the standard resistance. On Ego/Riva you can use standard or the hotter more power-sucking LR ones.

hello,

I think more information is needed here to clarify what isn't making you satisfied.

Are you not satisfied because the overall experience isn't like an analog?

Perhaps you haven't found a taste that you are comfortable with and can vape without thinking about it?

Perhaps you lack the throat hit and soothing or calming effect an analog provides?

Could be many things but it's hard to be subjective without further info since personal tastes and preferences do apply.

For me, the satisfaction is avoiding analogs...
IMO, if satisfaction to the senses is more important, then it will be very difficult indeed.

The better the experience, the easier it will be... Here's a few things I noticed...

I found that the sensation aspect is dulled greatly by chain-vaping...
Whereas if I let a moment go by between draws, the sensations (taste & TH) are greater.
Like that "after-dinner" smoke...

Now I don't mean waiting an hour agonizing in between hits...
Just a casual moment.... few minutes...

So.... maybe if you're using 12mg (weaker) liquid, and end up vaping non-stop...
Try a higher mg liquid, and space it out some....

When I first started vaping, I could have probably duct-taped that PV to my face... LOL
because it was going non-stop....

After a little while, finding a better "groove"... the experience definitely improved..
Mostly after switching to a better carto (Boge) and finding a couple juices I didn't mind
vaping all day... (RY4, USA)

Which brings me to another thing I noticed...
Colorful flavors were not doing the trick for me.
It *HAD* to be tobacco flavor of some sort.

So if you are dulled out by "foody-fruity-colorful" flavors...
Fill up on something that simulates the analog more accurately.

That works for me....

I have regular attys & an LR tank atty for the eGo. I have a friend that drips & that just drives me crazy. Too much fuss.

I am vaping 18 mg tobacco (from My Freedom Smokes regular atty on Riva in tank), 24 mg Cowboy Smooth (tobacco & mentol/spearmint mix from Honeyville LR atty on eGo-T) & 18 mg RY4 (from FSUSA in 510 carto). Occasionally vaping 12 mg coffee (Viking Vapors), 18 snickerdoodle (KBV) and 12 mg mix Blueberry Muffin/Waffles (Honeyville).

I don't think I'm missing TH from analogs, I never really realized they had one (I was smoking Marlboro Ultra Lights). I do vape out through my nose to get the smell.

Well myself I prefer cartmizers they're less fuss but that aside what exactly is it you miss vaping that you get or at least got with smoking? If you smoked ultra lights IMO you don't want to move to 24mg nic. 18 is enough for me and I smoked lights. I ocassionally puff on 24 if I have a bad craving.

When I started vaping (Feb 2010) I too wasnt "getting it". Then I ordered some 36mg and even special ordered some 48mg, the 48mg being "not advicable" by many vets here at ECF. But that IS what it took for me to get the satisfaction I needed.

Now its been over a year and I still vape 32mg to 36mg at mostly 6-7 volts...standard atties. Although Iam LOVING these new dual coil cartomizers at 3.7 from hoosierecigsupply.com

So...dont give up, get some 36mg, and maybe some dual coil cartos or a high voltage device and vape, vape, vape. Welcome to ECF...we are here to help in any way we can.

If you want PM me your info and I will send ya a sample of some 32-36mg tobaccos and even a dual coil 510 carto if ya like.

No satisfaction.

Interesting.

Brings to mind one of my favorite groups...The Rolling Stones. Man, I love just about every song they've recorded. Especially the early stuff. I wonder, though, if I would love them nearly as much if all but 2 of the original members were replaced. Just Charlie on drums and maybe Ron Wood (who's a replacement himself).

Same band...same songs, but something missing.

Not quite what I grew up with.

No satisfaction.

This is akin to what many of us experience with vaping. Vaping is not smoking. The only thing cigarettes have in common with electronic cigarettes is

- the word "cigarette", and
- nicotine.

The problem is, we bring old associations to this device that's pretending to be a cigarette and many of us are initially disappointed because it ain't what we expected it to be.

Like my Rolling Stones without Mick and Keith, I'll have to learn to accept this "cigarette" in it's current incarnation or go back to listening to the old records. If I stick around I may discover I can get just as much, or even MORE satisfaction than I anticipated.

Happy vaping!

between here and there
Smoking, being such a multi-level addiction is so hard to pinpoint exactly what we love most about it.....however, you may be experiencing addiction to any one of the other 4000 chemicals that is in cigarettes and not in the ecig.... some things just take a little longer to get out of your system.....supplement with what works for you and don't stress about it....that just makes it worse....
Have you tried vapor renu? You can add other things to the nic juice like vitamin b, caffeine, etc...give them a look they are having a great sale.
good vaping.

Great advice. I was a one cigarette per hour smoker. Ten drags and done. I found that with vaping anything after three hits left me less and less satisfied. Think about it, with a cigarette you have a mindset of smoking the whole thing while you have the opportunity but a PV is always lit. Now I take three hits every twenty minutes and find it very consistent and satisfying.
It took me six months to find the right flavor and nic strength (28mg). A larger percentage of PG helped also. But the biggest difference came with a variable voltage PV.

Thx SC,

Exactly.... No butts to count, and nothing but battery life & re-fill inconvenience to moderate us....
Which brings about the need for abit of self control to avoid becoming a "Nico-zombie"
I definitely notice that I over-do sometimes, just because I can...

Example... At work, I used to get about 5-6 analogs in between ~3 breaks...
Then chain smoke like a fiend the entire drive home...

Vaping gives us all the opportunity to chain vape nearly all the time...
So we don't really get those "been waiting all day hits"

- First drag after sparking up on the first break of the day.
- The first drag after dinner because we have to step outside the restaurant.
- Reaching a destination riding in a friend's "smoke-free" car.
- And lets not forget hitting the door at the Airport.... OMG....

I certainly still get satisfaction and the glorious "ahhhh" feeling while at work,
when it gets really busy and a good amount of time passes between vapes...

I am fighting with this exact same issue...I guess I thought the switch would be a lot easier but it hasn't been easy. I haven't gone a whole day analog-free yet, but I have gone from a 1 PPD smoker to 2 or 3. I was hoping to be completely rid of them at this point but I have two weak spots in my day:

First thing in the morning
Leaving work at the end of the day

I have noticed that my cravings are incredibly strong at these times and vaping isn't satisfying them. Luckily I am just getting started so I know I have some options that can hopefully help.

I'm still at one in the morning...and maybe one sometime in the afternoon/evening as well. BUT that's down from over a pack of USA Gold 100's every day.

I vape 36 mg juice on a Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizer- and that has made the difference for me. I tried more than a few different juices, and have fallen in love with the more tart flavors like cranberry mixed with some menthol so I can feel the vape.
