I agree with that...multi-drags are easiest in the beginning. I found when I started that taking two drags in a row was easier. HTH :)

It took me awhile to learn how to vape what I have now- have to take three shortish hits then inhale. The long inhale doesn't work on what i've got right now. I am sure when I get the new system I keep saying i am gonna buy (lol) I will have to learn to vape that one too. You will figure it out.

I know the feeling. That and I'm getting information overload. All I know is I'm sick of analog cigs.

Welcome, Pink Floyd !

I know how you and iceman feel, but hang in there, keep reading, and keep on vaping. It is worth the time and effort I guarantee you. As someone else mentioned, there is a learning curve to this for everyone, but it is SO SO worth it.

Good luck & happy vaping.

I never worried about long inhale or how to inhale. when smoking anologs I would take very short drags then do the quick inhale exahle. it was no diff when I started vaping. I gradually found myself building up to long drags. but still do the short ones when I first start for the day. I honestly don't think it matters how long a drag you take. just do whats comfortable. but the slower the drag the more vapor you will get.

I read that VG makes more vapor so I ordered a couple bottles of that.

Yes, VG helps make more vapor, it helps to blend and thicken your store-bought liquids better, it will decrease the amount of nicotine mg, and it might decrease the flavor (but some flavors are so strong that you'll want to decrease the flavor), plus your store-bought liquids will last a lot longer if you add VG. I usually add 30% to 50% VG when mixing liquids that I buy at 24mg or higher.

You can buy 6 ounce (177 mL) bottles of Glycerin (which is vegetable glycerine) from Walmart for $3.00. This is probably much cheaper than what you paid from an online store. Just wanted to let you know...

That's how I vape, too. Three pulls or hits, then inhale to get throat hits. I probably wouldn't continue vaping if it wasn't for the great throat hits.

Don't rush quitting and give it some time. Some people get it on day 1, other hard cases like me take a lot longer. I set myself up by keeping the PV close at hand and the analogs in a dresser drawer. Most of the time, I was too lazy to go through the ritual of getting a cig and going outside. The PV satisfied the need most times. When I started obsessing about smoking, I'd have one and get it out of my system.

The PV habit took me a little time to really pick up. Despite that I was still smoking 4-6 a day after 3 weeks even. Then the change hit without me even trying hard. The urge almost disappeared for no good reason. For the past 2 weeks I've dropped to one analog every 3-4 days. I just don't get that obsessive craving anymore. There's a teeny bit of willpower effort involved to substitute vaping, but nothing like I've ever been through with cold turkey or wellbutrin. As many have said, I've accidentally almost stopped smoking. I'll consider myself quit when I haven't picked one up for a month or more.

Out of sight out of mind? I think I will try that as well.

The more I read though, I'm starting to think my first purchase wasn't up to par, and certainly way more expensive than it needed to be.

Not really out of sight out of mind. More like just more work to go smoke versus an easy reach for the PV. Plus over time you'll be trying different flavors, trying some mods, just generally getting better at vaping. When you started smoking you probably didn't pick up a pack a day and go like a pro - no reason to expect this with vaping. At least that's been my experience.

Next thing you know, you will suddenly notice that you've gone hours longer than usual before picking up an analog. Then days. I'm still amazed at this, and didn't believe it could happen to me until experiencing it first hand.

Maybe you did spend too much at first, but at least you got to a starting point. Now take some time to learn with what you got and make a more informed choice on upgrades as you go.

Before I started vaping I watched a lot of YouTube vids and thought how weird all those people looked taking those long long draws and making those funny faces, but I was impressed with all the vapor. When I got my first 510 I practiced what I saw and looked totally ridiculous so I decided I wasn't going to be doing that in public since I look funny enough, but I did. The 510 got me off of cigs first day, but I hated the hard draw I was getting. I very quickly ordered a mod with higher volts and started with LR attys and dripping after trying cartos and other things. I only need small drags now which seems more natural to me and I get lots of TH and vapor. Best thing I ever did for myself after 45 years of cig abuse to my body.

I like the David Gilmore avatar. He's one of my favorite pickers. I'm a lead guitar player, too. The man is a joy to listen to.

VG is my main vape. I add a drop or two of PG juice to my VG cart regularly to add some flavor. Straight PG is kind of harsh to an ultra light smoker.

I also, still smoke 7 to 10 analogs a day, down immediately from 40+ after I started vaping. It was no trouble to cut that many out. Every time I smoke an analog I ask myself why I continue to smoke them. They taste bitter and dry. My Ecig has much better flavor. It has to be habit and the MAOI content that keeps me coming back at a low level.
