Ok, that is something that you'll want to savor every minute of. (so, i won't share any of my christmas tequila with you until after dinner- but someone else can do the washing up while you drink maragaritas or rum)

Now that's a plan!!! :D

Define ready. Ready as in excited, heck yes! Ready as in everything's ready? Can I have another week? Lol! I'm NEVER completely ready for Christmas I think lol. Speaking of which, I realized I forgot something at the store and didn't write it down, so now I can't remember...

Ruh roh 8-o

Hope you remember soon.

oh no! I hate when that happens

All i have left to do is print out my boarding pass, and pack. Anything that isn't bought and mailed isn't gonna be :)

How long are you going to be gone?

I remembered what it was! I need more stuff to make those magnets, gonna make some with the girls on Saturday to give to my mom, ex's new wife, and my brother's new girlfriend.

Turns out it wasn't food related at all. Sure sign my memory's getting worse, I used to be able to remember what things I forgot related to, now I always get it wrong...

Mike decided we needed to get our last bit of shopping done...at 4:30 this morning! Our Wal-mart is 24 hours..so we had the place to ourselves just about! The employees were super sweet and very attentive, the place was clean and stocked (failry well) and there was NO lines at check out. The only problem was that they declined our check. We called in and they cleared it (of course). It seems the large amount was weird for that hour of the day for us. Well yeah..who shops at 4:30 am normaly? I am just getting to sleep on a regular day!
So much for my early morning for the rest of this year and next!!!!!! Nite!
Oh yeah..I pick up my grandson for Christmas break tonight in Orlando. My daughter and I are riding up..we pass a few malls on the way!

I'm still baking.......still haven't wrapped yet. The baking is not a big deal because I already made dough in advance. Just a little decorating. So far, I've made: more spiced caramels, rugelach, triple chocolate cookies, apricot/almond/amaretto cookies, the little green Christmas tree butter cookies, and a rum cake. I've got to pack it all up because we're leaving for Ohio tomorrow....

I've got to say I'm not crazy about the trip. We always stay in a hotel because there is nowhere else to stay; other people from out of town have kids, or have "dibs" because it's always been that way...... the last time I woke up somewhere other than a hotel room on Christmas was 1998. Starting next year I finally get my way: Christmas one year, thanksgiving the next. It took the younger generation (with children they want at home on Christmas morning) to "rock the boat" in my DH's family this year. i will have to tell them how grateful I am to them for paving the way!

Anyway, I don't mean to sound like a Scrooge......I do have fun with everyone!

I don't that I could handle not being at home on Christmas. But then all the kids are here except one son. Yay for next year!!

Lisa66, I don't know what rugelach is but if it is along the lines of everything else you've made I am sure its delicious.

I'm hungry for some sweets! I remain strong and nothing has passed my salivating lips but whispered words of the sweets you have all listed here. Calorie free only because I am just reading about everyones Holiday baking but.... its just not the same as a taste test:(
