Ohio? Where abouts? You know there is a Revolver e-cig store off the ohio turnpike near toledo?

I'm off one of the turnpike exits too.

I'm still baking.......still haven't wrapped yet. The baking is not a big deal because I already made dough in advance. Just a little decorating. So far, I've made: more spiced caramels, rugelach, triple chocolate cookies, apricot/almond/amaretto cookies, the little green Christmas tree butter cookies, and a rum cake. I've got to pack it all up because we're leaving for Ohio tomorrow....

I've got to say I'm not crazy about the trip. We always stay in a hotel because there is nowhere else to stay; other people from out of town have kids, or have "dibs" because it's always been that way...... the last time I woke up somewhere other than a hotel room on Christmas was 1998. Starting next year I finally get my way: Christmas one year, thanksgiving the next. It took the younger generation (with children they want at home on Christmas morning) to "rock the boat" in my DH's family this year. i will have to tell them how grateful I am to them for paving the way!

Anyway, I don't mean to sound like a Scrooge......I do have fun with everyone!

Pam, I'll be in Dayton and in Cincinnati...... but I do have family in Cleveland, too. They are among us "out of towners" that make the trip.

And yes, CES, there are advantages to staying in a hotel..... you can get away for a break from it all, definitely!

I told DH the only way I would wake up in a hotel room next year is if there are palm trees outside and a decent brunch involved...... and a suite with a kitchen so I could make cookies. He agreed!!!!!!!!!!

I'm leaving in the morning so I will probably only be lurking and not posting much for a few days. I don't like leaving my laptop in the hotel room or lugging it around with me (in addition to all the other stuff!) so I'm limited to my phone. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas/Hanukka/Solstice (belated)..... or just a great weekend!

I got back from Orlando with my daughter and Grandson at 1am..stopped at Wal-Mart for 2 stocking stuffers for Mike and now I am off to bed. It has been a very, very long day!!!!!!!

Gotta get it finished today, everyone will be here tomorrow! I was gonna steam clean the carpets this morning, but hubbs didn't do the one thing I asked him to do; get the living room cleaned and vacuumed so I can steam clean in the morning, come home and he only picked up a few things... He's normally the one that's all gung-ho about cleaning too!

Yet look where I am now, gotta get off this computer! Lol!

Our people fight at the learners level. My 6 year old broke her foot yesterday, sparring. I ordered a special chest protector from the UK just for this! I'm too accident prone to not have gear...lol.

Fine. It was her little toe. I put ambusol for teethe on it, to keep the area numb. Then dad gave her a gauze wrap. Class starts again Jan 2, so all is well. She loves to be special
