Merry Christmas everyone. The girls came creeping in at 5 am today. We convinced them to pretend to sleep til around 8. At 9 they went and opened stockings. We got up real quick when we heard the yelling and shouting over their treasures!
Now we are putting away all non-toys before cutting into the plastic containers the goodies are adult-proofed against.
Its amazing, but the biggest hit was the Dollar Bin ballon kit. Go figure
I havent yet had my caffeine yet either. Cant get dad to motivate, so I think I'll leave his tired .... here and take the girls to Denny's for breakfast(lunch now?)!
We made a video of this. Too soon they will grow up and all we will have is memories. I'd like those in Technicolor!

My two granddaughters, 5 and 7 woke up this morning to find their backpacks wrapped in paper, new clothes inside and a note from Santa to hurry up and get in the car, then they will catch a trainride, it's a surpise where they are going.
My daughter and DH are taking them in the car to the border of Indiana and Illinois, then take the train to downtown Chicago, they will spend the night in a hotel, only to find an other note from Santa, they are going to get their American dolls.....
My daughter has been planning this for months now.
She wrote on facebook this morning that they were running through the house, making sure they have everything because they're going to the north pole!!

I'm sure they'll have blast.
Can't wait to see the pictures.
I will see them on new years day, I'm making a lot of American doll outfits, they are so cute!

Merry Christmas! My love made it through surgery just fine. We had a lovely stay at the hospital with no sleep of course. The vampires kept coming for his blood all night long! It is wonderful to have him home and resting. I'm watching "snowman" on tv. He's a cute guy with snow falling and background music. After 3 hours of the "yule log" it was time for a change. It's the only snow I'll see here in California. Blessings to all!
Skypea, I'm so glad the surgery went well and he's home. What a wonderful Christmas gift!
Hi all. Christmas vacation is over and I'm back at work and not a thing going on here! I did not want to get dressed for work today. It was snowing this morning and I just wanted to put my comfy sweat shirt & pants on and snuggle up on the couch with a good book. Oh well....someone has to pay the bills.
Just popping in to make sure you all had a great Christmas. 
It was this time last year I took some vacation days and went straight into retirement from there. I cannot believe it has been a whole year - how did I ever have time for work?!

So at the last minute I picked up a $1.00 Karaoke microphone. All day they argued over whose turn it was while they ignored everything else. lol Kids at Christmas is the very best thing.

I enjoyed the pre-Xmas parties more this year. Perhaps it's an age thingy.
