Hello everyone. Just joined after a few weeks of reading all the great advice on the boards. Ordered a 510 mini kit from freshsmoking.com and received it a couple of days later. I have generally been happy, however it seems I am getting not nearly enough vapor from the 510. Everyone is talking about the great clouds of vapor, but i am getting a small hit of nicotine and very little vapor.

I charged it for a few hours when i got it, and have recharged it every 10-20 hits, thinking that the lack of vapor was due to low batteries. That didn't help. Then i added 2 drops of liquid every 10 puffs but that didn't help, either. Then i thought that it was too wet, so I blew out the atty, added a couple of drops of liquid to one of the pre-filled cartridge that came with it and that seemed to help on the first draw, but then on the next few puffs there is hardly any vapor. Can someone please pass on some advice.

Also wanted to say I think it's great that you guys help out us newbies rather than talk down to us. It helps me anyway, to feel a little more comfortable to ask what i know are some stupid questions.

Thanks for the advice.

I did charge the batteries for a few hours when i got it. I am getting a little more confused now. I have read that i need to charge for 8 hrs, and i have also read that i need to only charge until the light flashes green.

I added a drop of liquid on the atomizer and it seems to work pretty well. How often will i need to do that? I can't really tell you often i vape since it hasn't been working well.

I used to smoke a pack a day and I am using a 14mg liquid.

I only charge the batteries until the light turns green. I think older batteries needed an 8 hr charge the first time. When the vapor drops, I usually put on a fresh battery if it's been in use for a while, put 2 drops in the atomizer and if the cart looks dry, I top it off. Some of it depends on the liquid too. Some seem to need a little more heating and I"ll hold the button for about a second before drawing. If you like great clouds of vapor, check out Nhaler for his HV Liquid.

I added a drop of liquid on the atomizer and it seems to work pretty well.

Because it has nothing to do with batteries, and everything to do with the juice not wicking well - I drip because of this, and because I don't feel like dealing with carts. But, do a search here for pyramid (PTB, pyramid tea bag - there is a four letter minimum on search terms last I checked), or just go to the cartridge modification section under the modder's section. Tons of improvement options there to get your liquid to wick better out of the cart.

My 510 does weird thing. All of them are producing vapor with throat hit and then at other times they quit working as good and this goes on and off. I don't understand why they do this. When they start this I do all of the usual things and he doesn't help. I keep about 10 different ecigs around me all of the time so when this happens I prepared.
