Thank you all so much for your advice. I really appreciate it, and will keep everything that everyone has said and suggested in mind. Like I said before I have no problem sending back or gifting my purchases to someone I know that can better use them if it's not a good idea for me to vape. It will always appeal to me though. I will continue to do research as well. I'd still like to know if I made a good decision as far asy purchases go.

My mom vapes 0nic. She loves it. She's all into the deserts, custards, pies, fruity stuff. She vapes with me all the time when I go over her house. I use 24nic though. She enjoys sitting down and just puffing away on her flavors. She says it relaxes her. She quit smoking 10-15 years ago. But when I quit smoking/chewing and went to vaping she took a hit off my Silver Bullet and was in love. Even though the hit was pretty harsh on her throat as she isn't used to the nicotine. I say do what you want, if it's something that helps stress or just wanna pick up a hobby I say go for it.

Thats kinda my story. Trying to buy a house, and right in the middle of it my employer of 22 years thinks he may just close up shop. I haven't smoked for 4 years, and all that sent the stress levels through the roof. I knew i WAS going to start smoking again, but my daughter ( a PHD candidate btw, im very proud!) intervened, introducing me to vaping instead. Now i happily vape 0 or 6 nic and haven't been happier!

You did reasonably well Jessika. IMO you could probably have got the same gear for a bit less, or slightly better gear for the same money if you knew a bit more about the vaping scene. IMO, don't worry about it and try this stuff out. All vape gear needs regular maintenance and if you don't know how to do that with your stuff do some research and/or ask on ECF.

I think that that's amazing. Good for you. Congratulations. You should be very proud. She sounds like a great girl.

I think you're right. The more research I did, I feel I could've spent less, or gotten better than I did. Maybe I'll send it back. I don't know the return policy. I will definitely do more research.

In short: you done good :)

To every adult or smoker that's interested in vaping, my 'advice' is always the same: try it!

If you like it, hooray: you've got something that brings you happiness! If you don't like it, hooray: you won't need to go through the minor annoyances and spending that vaping entails :)

I hope you enjoy yourself, and that you can get your boyfriend back on the wagon. Welcome to ECF!

ETA: that may be a smidge high in price, depending on the tank you ordered, but by no means outrageous, IMO. The spinner itself is probably in the 25-35 range, throw in a tank and some juice, and you're pretty much there, especially if it's a nicer tank.

Thank you. You make very good points. I hope I can help him to start vaping again as well. That would hid be great. I think I may have slightly overpaid.

I definitely want to him to get a replacement, ASAP. Do you mind sharing the health risks? I had found any associated with 0 nicotine. Please share with me what you know. I'd really appreciate it. I'm so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers.

Wow this thread grew overnight! Most of what I know about the risks of vaping
were learned by searching this forum (and the net) the past few months. The
risks of vaping are what they are even if no one knows exactly what and how much they are. Certainly tiny in comparison to the huge risks of smoking but could still be quite large compared to never smoking at all.

While your an adult your also still young and may not realize life has bumps. Ten, twenty, thirty years down the road your knowledge of vaping might keep a loved one from returning to (or taking up) smoking. Not going to tell you *not* to try vaping am asking you to wait for a more important reason.

What ever your choice is please only encourage smokers to try vaping and never other curious nonsmokers.

After several disappointments with buying vaping supplies online, I would recommend checking out local shops before buying online. Not that buying online is bad, but for someone new, it's better to get the advice and education available from the staff of a reputable shop. Most of the mods, batteries, tanks, etc. that you find online can be found at your local vaping shop. And most shops will order whatever you want if they don't have it in stock. Mine will order stuff that they dont normally carry at all.

If you don't have a local shop to go to, I'd recommend looking into Aspire batteries and tanks. I have been vaping for two years and recently went to Aspire and now I've given up smoking after smoking for 17 years.

The problem for someone new to vaping is how to know the B&M is reputable unless they know something about vaping or learn the reputation of the shop, which is usually I think found out online. Kind of a catch 22 IMO.

This right here... so true... one shop in my town, reasonable prices, great juice, great staff! the other one a mile down the road, Horrible prices, great juice, great staff. just get to know the people at your local b&m, google the trending prices and try to get a feel of it. over all, you payed a little too much. not too bad though at all.

It definitely grew. Lol. The more I think about it. I'm starting to think I should've waited longer to my a purchase. I was just so excited, and felt that I'd waited long enough. I'm not sure if I can return my order and get my money back though. Regardless, I'll still do research and encourage smokers to switch to vaping.

might sound like a jerk but I really don't care, I don't like people who vape who don't need it, think its cool or whatever, I need vaping to quit smoking and help me, I was close to cancer and this is helping me alot

No, you don't, it's just your way of justifying your vaping to yourself and others. Anybody can quit smoking without vaping if they REALLY want to. This type of attitude I see from "former" smokers drives me nuts. They talk about how much they love vaping, and how much healthier it is than smoking, but they look down upon those who pick it up who have never smoked. News Flash! At least they never smoked cancer sticks like many of us have. And, if any of you drink alcohol, then it's pretty hypocritical to tell any adult that they shouldn't vape if they've never smoked. I personally don't care if you "don't like people who vape who don't need it"... Because nobody NEEDS to vape. Nobody needs to drink alcohol, who never have, yet 64% of Americans over the age of 12 admit to drinking alcohol on a regular basis. Could you imagine how silly it would sound if someone said to a recovering alcoholic "I've never drank alcohol, but I had a non-Alcoholic beer and I love the taste." And their response was "No, don't do that! You don't NEED to it like I do and, frankly, I don't like people who drink non-alcoholic beer who don't need to."?

I would consider just giving it all to my boyfriend, but I ser doubt he'd want it because it's the Rainbow Spinner. I've seen people talk about Vision Spinners, Asprires, eGos, Kanger, and Halos. I don't know which is best. I know that you need a good battery, and I now know it's best to invest in an even better tank.
