My mom vapes 0nic. She loves it. She's all into the deserts, custards, pies, fruity stuff. She vapes with me all the time when I go over her house. I use 24nic though. She enjoys sitting down and just puffing away on her flavors. She says it relaxes her. She quit smoking 10-15 years ago. But when I quit smoking/chewing and went to vaping she took a hit off my Silver Bullet and was in love. Even though the hit was pretty harsh on her throat as she isn't used to the nicotine. I say do what you want, if it's something that helps stress or just wanna pick up a hobby I say go for it.
I'd still like to know if I made a good decision as far as purchases go.
Thats kinda my story. Trying to buy a house, and right in the middle of it my employer of 22 years thinks he may just close up shop. I haven't smoked for 4 years, and all that sent the stress levels through the roof. I knew i WAS going to start smoking again, but my daughter ( a PHD candidate btw, im very proud!) intervened, introducing me to vaping instead. Now i happily vape 0 or 6 nic and haven't been happier!
You did reasonably well Jessika. IMO you could probably have got the same gear for a bit less, or slightly better gear for the same money if you knew a bit more about the vaping scene. IMO, don't worry about it and try this stuff out. All vape gear needs regular maintenance and if you don't know how to do that with your stuff do some research and/or ask on ECF.
In short: you done good
To every adult or smoker that's interested in vaping, my 'advice' is always the same: try it!
If you like it, hooray: you've got something that brings you happiness! If you don't like it, hooray: you won't need to go through the minor annoyances and spending that vaping entails
I hope you enjoy yourself, and that you can get your boyfriend back on the wagon. Welcome to ECF!
ETA: that may be a smidge high in price, depending on the tank you ordered, but by no means outrageous, IMO. The spinner itself is probably in the 25-35 range, throw in a tank and some juice, and you're pretty much there, especially if it's a nicer tank.
I definitely want to him to get a replacement, ASAP. Do you mind sharing the health risks? I had found any associated with 0 nicotine. Please share with me what you know. I'd really appreciate it. I'm so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers.
After several disappointments with buying vaping supplies online, I would recommend checking out local shops before buying online. Not that buying online is bad, but for someone new, it's better to get the advice and education available from the staff of a reputable shop.
The problem for someone new to vaping is how to know the B&M is reputable unless they know something about vaping or learn the reputation of the shop, which is usually I think found out online. Kind of a catch 22 IMO.
Wow this thread grew overnight! Most of what I know about the risks of vaping
were learned by searching this forum (and the net) the past few months. The
risks of vaping are what they are even if no one knows exactly what and how much they are. Certainly tiny in comparison to the huge risks of smoking but could still be quite large compared to never smoking at all.
While your an adult your also still young and may not realize life has bumps. Ten, twenty, thirty years down the road your knowledge of vaping might keep a loved one from returning to (or taking up) smoking. Not going to tell you *not* to try vaping am asking you to wait for a more important reason.
What ever your choice is please only encourage smokers to try vaping and never other curious nonsmokers.
might sound like a jerk but I really don't care, I don't like people who vape who don't need it, think its cool or whatever, I need vaping to quit smoking and help me, I was close to cancer and this is helping me alot
