So the wife has quit cold turkey 3 years ago and never looked back..

I on the other hand am addicted to Nicotine. Bottom line is, although analogs taste like crap after I started vaping and quit them, I will smoke if I run out of supplies for vaping!

That said, I order 2 or 3 times a week searching for good deals and new flavors to try...

Its an addiction, in order to fight it off you search for supporting tools and people who can relate... Such as this forum..

So she thinks Im obsessed and hoarding lol! I admit it.. YES I AM! lol

I feel bad because we work together (self employed) and I have been spending more than she does so I took her shopping (its alot better now that I vape lol) and bought her what she is addicted to "SHOES & NEW OUTFITS"

Its funny how much a person is willing to spend to support his or her habits!

My husband NEVER smoked. Didn't REALLY mind that I did, (of course, there were the little 'cracks' about making out with an ashtray and the like, but he's 31 years older than I am, so I told him that he was lucky I was kissing HIM at all...), but he kept on from the HEALTH perspective.

I've spent over $2000 on ecigs and miscellaneous mods, liquids etc. He carries on about it, but I know he doesn't really mind about the money, but I'm sure he thinks I've developed OCD...

My wife is about 50/50. She is a casual smoker (only when drinking or when upset).
She's happy I'm off smoking, but she seems to think this is a "Toy".

Now I admit (to her as well) that I probably am a little bit "kid in a candy store" right now. But come on, I'm off Cigarettes. I would think that would get me at least a little bit of allowance to endulge in the Ecigs.. But only a little.

I put it to her this way, how about if I budget myself half of what I used to spend on Cigarettes? She actually liked that idea alot.
So after a small amount of math, we've decided on $15 per week.
And I got her to agree to
"This is reasonable right? And You can't hassle me about what I buy as long as it's within my budget".
she said yes.

So this will start once I've recovered all my expenses to date.
I will have to make one more purchase of juice, and hopefully, about 3 weeks from now I should be broken even.
I will then literally take $15 cash every week (we are both paid weekly, which is cool BTW) and put it somewhere in my ".... lab".
I won't order anything unless I have the cash.
I'll then deposit cash to the bank to make my orders.

I figure that will be plenty for juice, and maybe a monthly order of stuff, batteries/attys and such. And an occasional new device.

This seems to be a good solution for us.

My husband (who never smoked) has a great motto: Happy Wife, happy life.

I buy what ever I think I need (and I've stocked up pretty well with all the FDA crapola going on). Haven't heard a single peep about the credit card statements in 14 months.

Most likely he's quiet about it because now he never has to stop on the way home to buy me a carton of cigs, which he hated (so he knows the cost vs. vaping) and he also knows he'll never have to cook, clean or pick up after himself since now I'll probably out live him.

Ok, I did brain wash him with subliminal (and not so subliminal) happy wife messages the first year, but it worked. We have been together for 22 years.

Hubby quit while I was on a long trip last summer, I found out when he picked me up from the airport:shock: Well I am glad for him! But of course it became a problem right away, all of a sudden cant smoke around him!
I found ecigs and quit too, but still cant vape around him! I know he suffers even now:( not much I can do about it. I wouldnt even suggest he vape, he worked so hard to quit.
Time will tell, I hope it gets easier for him.
