Hello,
I've got an aspire nautilus mini on a 30W Istick.
Its a nice small setup I like, but I'm going through coils in 3 days (some last a little longer) and i'm sick of it. I've got a large amount of 12mg Nic. juice (70%pg 30%vg) so going sub-ohm isn't really an option. Is there a rebuildable setup out there for me, it seems like everything i look at is labeled as "Sub-ohm".
Thanks

BTW - If you mix 0mg of the same flavor as the e-Liquid(s) you already have, you can Lower the mg/ml level to anything you like.

Not sure if this is something you Might want to try? But I thought I would throw it Out There.

The sub Ohm or not is determined in the length of the wire in the coil

In a RTA yoy can build to what YOU like.

I would recommend a Kayfun lite plus, and get 28 gauge Kanthal.

With 7 wraps around a 2 mm Shaft i get a 1.35-1.4 ohms

I bet 7-8 wraps around a 2.5 mm Shaft would be right down your Alley.

Ahhh
Now i get it ! :)

Just curious, why do you recommend the Kayfun over the Kanger?

So using the RBA, I just need to buy the right gauge coil wire to hit 1.6 Ohm ? Is it that simple ?

Yep. When you build you own Coils, you basically choose the Wire Gauge based on what Ohms want the end up with.

And there are Websites like the one below that can help you determine what a Coil will work out to be.

Coil wrapping

I know that when you first look at that site, that it looks Very Complex. But it really isn't.

Or... You can do what Many People (including Myself) do and just buy Pre-Coiled Coils for a given Gauge/Ohms. Then all you have to do is put Cotton in them.

$1.87 Pre-Coiled Wires for RBA RDA RTA Rebuildable Atomizers (50-Pack) 50-pack - 29 AWG / 1.5ohm / 0.3mm dia. / 15*15mm leads / 7 loops at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

No. Coil wire has so much resistance per foot (12 in 30 cm)

A coil made of 9 inches of wire will have 3 times the resistance of a coil that has three inches of wire.

Very simple.

1. You are vaping a Nautilus Mini. That is an MTL DEVICE. The Kayfun lite plus is too.

2. The rba in the Subtank is made of small pieces easily lost or strip the screws and much less room to build on especially 1+ohm coils.

The Kayfun is built from the ground up to be rebuilt time after time.

Well you've sold me!
Looks like there's a couple to pick from on that website zoiDman posted.
I assume V3 would be the latest and greatest ?
Not sure why its cheaper than V2

You're focusing too much on the resistance of the coil. Assuming that you have a regulated device, watts are what you should be looking at. Lower watts means that you can use higher mg eliquid. Sure, lower resistance coils are usually made with thicker wire and require higher watt settings, but that's not always the case.

As for Kayfuns, the KFL is a bottom fill tank, where you need to take the tank of the mod and use a screwdriver to remove the fill screw. It's a drag, and I'd recommend something like the Kayfun Mini v3 or the Kayfun v5 instead. Those are modern tanks that are filled from the top, and in contrast to the KFL you can access the coil without emptying the tank.

Seriously??
A screw needs to be removed, that's the only way to fill it ?!?

Indeed, and the screw is on the bottom of the tank (as is the, IMO rather useless, air flow control screw). Well, you could in theory block the air intake, remove the top cap, and fill, but that always turned out a complete mess for me.

I wouldnt.

I have a Kayfun Mini V3.

Mini V3 is top filled a s if tge O rings are weak as they were in mine; Juice leaks out tge airflow unless i turn off the Juice flow before meals and before bed time.

The lite plus is much easier to build than tge Mini V3. That stupid wall around the build deck ruined the Mini V3 for me.

The lite plus standard with Steel , glass, or M Tank holds 4.5-5 mls Juice. Mini V3 only holds 2 mls.

One ECF member bought a 5 mm tube at a hobby shop to extend the Kayfun snd put a bell cap on top of an M Tank. He said the Kayfun held 9 mls.

Every single part of the Kayfun lite plus is available even the insulators and 510 pins

A few parts of the Mini V3 is available but not the entire set yet. They may come but not yet.

A Kayfun with spare O Rings, screws, bases, barrels, etc yoy can keep a Kayfun going practically FOREVER.

In all honesty i woukd not trade MU Kayfun lite plus clone for 12 Kayfun Mini V3 attys
