Is the outer ring stopping on the ring of your battery when you screw it on? Sometimes the center post doesn't make contact. The fix is to use a paper clip to raise the center post on the battery. If that doesn't work, then an adapter is in order.

Look for light between the bottom of the Vivi Nova and the top of your battery. There should be a visible gap when you hold it up to the light.

What kind of battery/ecig are you using?

I second what Dave has said here and offer an additional troubleshoot:

Whenever I fill a nova I quit filling when I reach the bottom of the little white silicon head cover. I have tried filling them all the way and find this tends to flood the coil. If you have completely filled though, just empty some out and then try it. It might takes 20 or 30 drags to unflood it.

Also, when I refill, it is not uncommon for the first 8-10 drags to be either no vapor or low vapor, but after a bit I can fog the room up. I think it's a matter of not flooding the coil.

Good luck.

Thanks, guys. I've tried them on my twists and a Vamo. I gave away my older (working) vivis to my newly converted aunt. These new ones are all the new metal body type, and the a-ok old ones weren't. Have there been other complaints about these new type? I've tried an adapter, and I'm really at a loss. One of the FIVE is now working, though; so I'm not going quite as bonkers. Am I just cursed:confused:?
