I'm starting to run low on cartos and I want to try Boges. Question is my tanks I have are the Volcano Tube tank and they both use the Mega size carto with the flange at the bottom.. Problem is I cant seem to find Boges like that.. Is that flange that important.. I don't have an issue with the Volcano cartos at all, price wise they are cheap and work fine for me but I want to find a supplier that's a little closer.

By "mega" I'm guessing you mean the 45mm length of carto. The other length of carto is the 35mm.

The flange on some carto's was made popular by Smoktech. Their cartotanks have an indentation on the bottom endcap into which the flange on their carto's will match up with. The idea behind this is to keep the tank from sliding towards the connector pin and battery. It DOES NOT prevent the tank from sliding off in the other direction.

The flange is not all that important. Non-flanged carto's can be used in any cartomizer tank, whether it is a Smoktech tank or other.

If you are looking for some Boge pre-punched carto's for a tank, I have a list of vendors that supply them in my blog. You will want the XL size, not the standard size, Boges for your tank.

Do you find any brands any better then the others? I bought 801 fusions for a new tank I'm getting for Xmas and need to get some for the tanks I have now. Ikenvape is where I got them. I always hear Boges are really good. Is there even a difference in taste/vape? What's your opinion about resistance? LR/SR/HR.. I have a eGo style battery and 3 VV Pv's.. Normally I don't run above 5.5v on those.

I definitely prefer single coil cartos to dual coil. I prefer a cooler vape, so I use standard resistance. 2.0 ohm on fixed voltage and 3.0 ohm for variable voltage.

So far, I have enjoyed using the Ikenvape Platinum Mega punched cartos (I believe these are a 2.5 ohm resistance) https://www.ikenvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MGAPlatP, with Smoktek single coil cartos as backup when the Plats are out of stock Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL. The Platinums seem to provide a cleaner and slightly bolder flavor, and also seem to last an additional one or two tank refills compared to the Smokteks. I attribute this to the polyfill material used, but I could be wrong.

I have tried one 801 Ikenvape Fusion (with the required 510-801 adaptor). The first one was extremely disappointing - very harsh vape and I was unable to use it (resistance checked out ok on the Provari). I'm hoping this was just a bad carto for whatever reason. I haven't gotten around to trying the others I have yet.

Ikenvape just began offering a 510 threaded Fusion, which I will likely try on my next order. https://www.ikenvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=510FUZESTD

I have read an unconfirmed rumor that Boge actually makes the Ikenvape cartos to Ivan's specifications and that he felt he had an agreement to sell them exclusively, but that Boge has not honored the agreement and is selling them to other vendors. I have tried a few standard resistance, standard length Boge cartos in a couple of my shorter tanks and was not impressed with them. Their polyfill is quite dense which slows the filling of them, and I was not impressed with the flavor production. I have to admit that these were purchased during "Bogegate" and I have not purchased any since.

Ikenvape has a suppliers forum here that may have answers to any questions you have. I haven't fully explored it yet. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ikenvape/

Thank you sir for all your tips and Info... It was very helpful. I'm going to order more cartos later today.. I have 9 1.5ohm for my fixed just need to order some for my VV units.. While I'm placing the order I might as well order a box of 2.0ohm for when my 1.5's are gone.. I'm more then likely going to use more 3.0 since after Tuesday i'll have 3 VV devices.. Then later down the road a nice hybrid.. :toast:

BA you've been great! Read your blog also.. good stuff..
