Welcome Dustin.
Here is my advice- find a model that uses a 510 atomizer with a big battery. Start small and don't PLAN on being able to quit smoking right off the bat.
You may be able to, but many of us don't because there is more than just the nicotine that is addictive, for one thing.
Some of us heavy smokers (used to be 2+ packs a day here) need more than the "normal" e-cigarettes and end up getting "mods", commonly juice fed mods.
These have bigger batterys and hold more
e-liquid and produce more flavor- and cost quite a bit more as well, usually.
Try a 510 big battery device and see if that helps. You MAY be able to quit with that and just need to get some spare batteries. You may need
more and need a mod- many of them can use the 510 atomizers, so the stuff you start with won't be a complete waste no matter what.
And getting started will be cheaper and easier than trying to jump right into the middle of things.
As for juice and nicotine levels, well, lots of options there!
Personally, I go for a nic level around 18mg usually, but I also chain-vape. Probably a habit left over from the chain smoking....
There are so many different flavors and nic levels (not to mention juice vendors!) that you may not find exactly what you need right off the bat. That's pretty normal.
The thing is, if you keep looking you are fairly certain to figure out what you need for nicotine and what you like for flavor.
