Ok guys i am extremely overwhelmed here. i smoke lucky strikes or camel unfiltered about a pack and a half to two packs a day. i am almost to the point to give up and just keep smoking. so i need suggestions i was going to get a blu but after looking around decided not to. i dont care about size as long as i can fit the whole setup in my pocket. battery life is a must. smoke or vapor dont really care. i am just looking for something that can fill the pack and a half to two pack needs. also if you can point me in the right directions towards flavors and strengths.
thanks
dustin

Welcome to ECF dustin! It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but hang in there because you've come to the right place. There are a ton of pv's you could buy as well as unlimited kinds of juices from various places.

From what you've described in your post based upon the amount you smoke and the fact that you do not care about it's size, I am going to recommend and eGo/Riva type of PV as your first. Check out Liberty-flights.com and look for the ECF special.

I will not be able to direct you towards flavor recommendation as I do not care for tobacco flavors, but will suggest you try a few different vendors such as GourmetVapor, FSUSA, Vaperite, to name a few and try small sizes until you find one you really like. Also order in various strengths, again small amounts. Taste is subjective and so is nic strength I'm afraid. I was a light menthol or ultra light menthol smoker and I prefer 18 mg (nic) or even 24 mg, while my boyfriend smoked regular strength Marlboro's and can't go any higher than 12 mg (nic)!!!! You just never know until you've tried them.

I wish you luck, hang in there and go for it!!!

Welcome Dustin.

Here is my advice- find a model that uses a 510 atomizer with a big battery. Start small and don't PLAN on being able to quit smoking right off the bat.
You may be able to, but many of us don't because there is more than just the nicotine that is addictive, for one thing.

Some of us heavy smokers (used to be 2+ packs a day here) need more than the "normal" e-cigarettes and end up getting "mods", commonly juice fed mods.
These have bigger batterys and hold more e-liquid and produce more flavor- and cost quite a bit more as well, usually.

Try a 510 big battery device and see if that helps. You MAY be able to quit with that and just need to get some spare batteries. You may need more and need a mod- many of them can use the 510 atomizers, so the stuff you start with won't be a complete waste no matter what.

And getting started will be cheaper and easier than trying to jump right into the middle of things.

As for juice and nicotine levels, well, lots of options there!
Personally, I go for a nic level around 18mg usually, but I also chain-vape. Probably a habit left over from the chain smoking....

There are so many different flavors and nic levels (not to mention juice vendors!) that you may not find exactly what you need right off the bat. That's pretty normal.
The thing is, if you keep looking you are fairly certain to figure out what you need for nicotine and what you like for flavor.

Hello Dustin, I know how you feel. I am a recent convert from chew and clove. The best part about all this are the options, its too bad thats the bad part as well.

This of this like smoking analog cigs, there is no way for one person to tell another what is best for them. There is no silver bullet perfect rig for everyone.

I can recommend Liberty-Flights I have the eGo. This is basically a Joye 510 with a bigger battery. For ease of use i would recommend the prefilled Cartamozers. Once you get used to e-cigs you can switch and use the Atomizers and Cartages with eJuice.

In the stickies of this forum be sure to check out MistressNomad video collections.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I have done a tone of homework here and on other sites.

+1 for the eGo or Riva PV. Anything smaller and you're going hate charging batteries all the time.

I started with tobacco flavours, because that's what I thought I would like, but haven't vaped any tobacco flavours for the past couple of months. I like the fruit flavours peach, blueberry etc and also mountain dew. I vape 24mg juice and I go through about 3ml/day.

I use to smoke about 30 mid strength Dunhill every day and been off them now for more than 7 months.

Hope this gives you some ideas for comparison.

You can get sample sizes at FreedomSmokeUSA in 24mg strength, just order anything that soounds good for now.
Until you try it, you're not going to know if your like it, even if other love it.
You will probally vape thru the samples fast enough, a few drops of "not as good as the last one"
will go without notice.

You said you "smoke lucky strikes or camel unfiltered about a pack and a half to two packs a day",
so you might like the stronger juices. Guessing from when I smoked Luckies and Pall Mall,
you're not taking a couple puffs and putting them out.
Starting out I went from 24mg to 28mg to 30 / 36mg to kill the craving, and supply enough
nic to be satisfied. YMMV

FSUSA goes as high as 36mg with regular sixed bottles, Mad Vapes TopVapor USA E-Liquid
also have 36mg pre-mixed. 24mg should be OK for you trying flavors, starting out you
most likely will be chain-vaping so the nic level will suffice. Just be sure to re-order
before running low, can't run down to the corner store for juice unfortunatly.:(

I think strictlyejuice has a tobacco sample of tiny bottles. Other than the 100% PG Chinese liquid some places carry, most of the ejuices are different from vendor to vendor. So one vendor's Desert Ship/Camel-alike will be different from another's, one vendor's Marboro-like will be different from another's, etc.

Expect tobacco juices to be maybe reminiscent of a cigarette in some way, but it won't be the same because cigarettes blow in your face all the time and e-cigarettes don't. So cigarettes get more scent up your nose.

In the land of no hills and red dirt
36 mg nic juice (virginia gold venom juice) from e-liquid8.com to start off with. Taper down on nic level later once you get used to vaping. Agree with previous recommendation about 510 mod with a 18650 (big battery) combination. I'm loving the Reo Grand with a LR510 cartomizer. 6ml bottle and big battery provides all day vaping in a dependable mod that be stuck in a shirt or jacket pocket.

dustin,

You made a great choice for your first PV. Congrats!! We aren't going anywhere, we are here for the duration. =) I am not real savvy in the low resistance department as I've never tried them, however you may want to grab some cartomizers for when on the go. Someone will no doubt be along to recommend their faves!!! Vape on!~
