noobie carto ?'s and recomendations

I've read a lot of people prefer using cartomizers than clearomizers. I already ordered a mini vivi nova tank but am interested in trying cartomizers but still a little confused about them. If I'm looking for something that will hold 2ml of liquid what size cartomizer would i get and is it necessary to get a tank? I don't vape that much so not sure if it's worth it for me to spend the extra money on one.

How many times can you use the same cartomizer before replacing? How do you know when it's running low and needs to be refilled? I saw the you tube video on how to fill one so i think i understand that part.

A lot of people have recomended the ikenvape fusion but they seem to be out of stock often, so are there any other recomendations for a good cartomizer/and tank? I've read good and bad things about boge so i'm not sure. I just ordered the vision spinner 1300 mah, so would any cartomizer that has a 510 threading fit that.

Also i know it depends on personal preference but what ohm resistance should i get as i am new to vaping? Also not sure what a flanged cartomizer is, but do i need one if I'm not going to be using a tank.

Standard length cartomizers will hold approximately 1 ml of liquid; XL length will hold 1.5 ml of liquid. Cartomizers are metal tubes, so it is difficult to judge the amount of liquid they have as you vape. Using cartos in a tank, you don't have to worry about topping the carto off with additional liquid as the tank replenishes the carto with more as you vape and you can see the juice level in the tank. Tanks will hold 2 -6 ml or more of liquid, depending upon the size of the tank.

How many times can you use the same cartomizer before replacing?

When used by itself, a carto will begin to have a stiff or hard draw when it needs to be replaced. You can continue to refill the same carto until the pull gets stiff or the flavor turns bad. Using a carto in a tank will prolong how long you can use it; the same symptoms will occur when the carto is used in the tank and needs to be replaced. Generally a cartotank can be refilled 3 - 6 times before a carto needs to be changed.

Boge and Smoktech are the more popular and common manufacturers of cartos. Boges are available in both the 35mm standard length and the 45mm XL length; Smoktech are only available in the XL length and have a flange (not necessary to have). Both brands are available punched (laser-drilled holes) or not. To use a carto in a tank, there must be holes present. Only the silver cartos can be used in a tank; the black ones have a sticker on them which is difficult to remove.
