What's up guys!

Hey, names Matt; friends call me Matty. I'm new to ECF and to vaping. Been cig free for a sold two week.

It has been kind of a pain; not subbing vape for smoke, just figuring it all out, filling carts, mail-ordering, noob mistakes, ect. ect. Not willing to give up tho.

Anyways, I ordered two packs of 808 Fluxomizers but received 510's; which would be fine if I had something to fire them. Sadly I don't have a rad mod yet, vaping Volt's kr808d.

I am worried about running out or carts, I'm down to only a couple... I know, my bad for not keeping a back-stock but like I said, noob. Seems like I vape way more then I thought I would.

Well, does anyone have experience with this wrong item shipped issue? What typically happens, how long does it all take?

It would be great if they would just ship me an adapter on the ASAP. I'm not really sure what type I would need to go from the male kr808 battery to receive the 510 threads..

Appreciate any input. Thnx

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I started a ticket. Says will try to respond within 24 hours, but tomorrows Sun. Just kinda worried about my carto situation. haven't really found a local shop in my area yet, except a smoke shop that said Cigirex's cartos "would fit". Didn't really believe him, plus their pre-filled cartos are like 30 bucks for a five pack... Kinda on a budget.

Matty - Found your ticket, sending those out tomorrow (monday) and will throw in an adapter so you can use the wrong ones sent to you too, you don't have to return those. Its always good to have an 808/510 adapter or adapters in general.

We have a new helper and they were consolidating some of our bins and threw the 808 and 510's in together in one bin. They have been brow-beaten senseless.

Wow, you guys ain't messing round. Right on, that's what I call customer service.

Just replied to the ticket.

Everyone else who has helped me out, thanks so much!

If anything, I've learned to have a pack of cartos on reserve. That and GotVapes is on it like a bonnet.

....on it like a bonnet....

Woo, I'm keeping that :D

Just wanted to give GotVapes a big thumbs up here. I had the same thing happen to me a while back at another (unnamed) supplier. Made a ticket, told them they sent me 808 instead of 510. They said ship them back and they'd replace them. Now I assume they would have given me credit for my shipping costs to send them back, but at a minimum of 3 days there and three days back, for a $7.99 item, I just tossed them and crossed said supplier off my list (I learned long ago to have LOTS of backup).

Good customer service is pretty important in a word of mouth industry like this.

Way to go GotVapes!

dannaman - Had my morning vape and then saw this; couldn't me more pleased!! You guys are truly vapers first, and entrepreneurs second. As fare as the brow-beating goes, handle your business; but I had nothing to do with that... I don't condone vape on vape violence.

Will def be ordering again soon (Phoenix BottomCoil !).

burns_erin - Hahaha, =)

Alright Ima make like Christian, and bale.

First, welcome Matty, good to have you on board! Second, props to GotVapes for the usual above and beyond mindset that has made them my go-to supplier. And finally, not trying to assume one way or the other, but if you haven't already, try taking those fluxos apart and cleaning them up. I remember when I first tried fluxos, I thought they were awesome, but I would just refill them until they started dropping in performance, and then toss 'em. But as long as the coil doesn't blow, you can clean and re-use them for quite a long time.

Hey matt,
FYI when and if you use your new addapter be sure to to attach the adapter to the batt. first then attach your 510 carto of choice. This info was passed on to me by Steeljan (look for her reviews great info) for anyone just starting out.

Why is that? Just out of curiosity, I've never heard it before. Well, I've never heard anything about adapter rules before. I have an adapter to use 510s on my 808 batteries and if one batt dies, I leave the adapter on the carto and switch it to the other batt. I'll be sure not to do this in the future!

As for backups, I couldn't agree more! Sometimes the vape gods do not smile on you at all. I try to keep a good stash of Phoenix BCs on hand and had 5 crap out within 3 days of each other. These guys had been going strong for about a month or so, so I am still happy with them. That was just terrible luck. Thank goodness I had extra cartos of various types plus more Phoenixes on hand. I promptly bought another pack!

Bonny,
according to Steeljan using this method will help reduce the possibility of a short between the carto and batt. Also the 808 to 510 adapter that I have (purchased at GV) has a sillicone ring holding the center pin in place, by putting it on the batt. first ensures good contact with the center pin of the carto. Sorry for the late reply went on an afternoon fishing trip:)

You don't happen to hang out with the Monkey's Mama do you (AG51)?

Anyway on soemthing we have sent out wrong we feel, in most cases, we have made the mistake and put the vaper at a major inconvenience. We would not add insult to injury and say, first send the item back and then we will replace. We try to go on an honor system: if it is a small amt of somethign we tell them just to keep it and we'll get it taken care of ASAP. If it is something we really need back because of low-stock or a large amount we do ask for a return but we pay or reimburse their shipping. But we don't wait to receive said product back first.

We have found the overwhelming amount of vapers are extremely honest and very consicientious...
