First, I wanna thank Rob for the SUPER FAST SHIPPING! Holy cow, it's already out for delivery. Only problem is I won't be home until 5pm. Does anyone know what they usually do with the package? Do I have to go pick it up the next day or do they automatically try to redeliver it? If it's the latter, It'll be stuck in an endless loop and I'll never get it! lol Post office closes at 5:30 so hopefully I can grab the slip and rush over and hope they have it at the post office. I understand the reason for the signature confirmation, it just sucks that I'm at work during their business hours

You may not need the slip, as long as you have our ID....I'd shoot over right after work.

I'd probably grab it just in case, thought :/ That's to say the packages that weren't delivered are back at the office at that time

It's up to carrier if they decide to accept the pre-sign and leave the package, most will. Just make sure you feel safe having it left. Because they consider it delivered and if someone swipes it you're SOL.

If you get the slip and try to pick it up today and do not get it then you can sign the slip and leave it in your box. They usually try the next day.

I usually call and request the next day delivery if that is when I will be home.

Well it's at a family members house and it's the cluster mailbox with the big locked package box, so they usually put packages in there and put the key in the appropriate mail box.

Darn... they left a notice. I guess I'll pick it up at the post office tomorrow morning. I'll post pics when I get it.

Make sure you call the PO and let them know to hold it for pick up in the morn so the carrier doesn't take it out for a second try.

The advantages of small town life. I went to the post office on Monday and told them I was expecting a signature package on Wed. and wouldn't be home. Stopped by the PO Wed. lunchtime and they were holding it for me. Hope you get yours in the morning.

I had a rookie postman taking my regulars place one day when My Black Dub from the classies would've been delivered. The Box said signature required so he left a slip. My regular would've scanned it and known it wasn't required just like the lady at the window the next morning. I guess I'm so calm about it because it wasn't mine, I got it for a friend.

I would rather they mess up like that than leave it in the wrong box. There are 400 boxes in our community mail shed...our carrier even mixes up package locker keys

I missed my delivery. I went to the post office about an hour after the note was left and the woman at the counter said I could either call or come back a few minutes before close and see if my mailman had made it back yet or go find him and show him my ID and the slip they left me. For the record, my slip said available for pickup the next day, but had options to select a re deliver date as well.

Anyways, I drove around my neck of the woods til I found a mail truck and staked it out for about 45 minutes. Finally a mailman shows up, but after a short conversation, I learn he is not MY mailman...luckily he was awesome and friends with my mailman so he told me which section of his route he would be on! 10 minutes later I had my package from Rob. I had errands to run, so I carried the package in my hands (no way I'm leaving it in the car!!!) for about about 2 hours. Got some funny looks but I was happy with myself.
