really? you could even see a mod in those shots? ah man I took them down, didn't even think anyone would notice seeing just a piece of a mod that ain't a reo  yeah man that's one of my creations, a 26650 bf, don't want to put any pics of it here in the reo forum. eventually I'll put a thread up for it somewhere, don't have pics of that atty loaded and wicked on the reo yet :)

That is where I purchased mine, great shipping time and you can also get authentic VTC5s although they put a horribly adhering sticker on them... nonetheless I love my Origen

I have a v1 and it's one of my favorites. I just got back into reos (these new contacts are amazing!) and have been hunting for a v2 ever since (well, every payday, haha).

Ive been using either 24 or 26ga Kanthal in a vertical coil setup. I prefer the 24 ga but i set mine up with twisted 28ga when it first arrived and was still very happy with the flavor.

Not sure I want to go that low in ohms.

Are you running the wick all the way down to the bottom of the well?

Thoughts on running a single coil?

I run the wick till it touches the bottom and has a very short piece that lays on the deck like an "L."
It wicks perfectly down to the last drop...and believe me i was surprised to find the well BONE DRY.

To go higher Ω just substitute gauge and/or add a couple wraps.

here's my v2 on a reo. so far the horizontal coils have been my best builds for me and the atty works great with them like this, I really like the way this atty looks and the build quality of this atty is awesome, but personally I'm no so in love with the deep well holding so much excess juice as we've said before. thinking of a few ways to mod it to solve this problem but it's not so bad as-is, just not great because of that. here's a few shots of my setup

this is dual 18 wraps 26 gauge, 1.5mm id comes in at 1.3 ohms. I'm running it at 6.3volts/30 watts and it vapes really nice, not much lag at all

TCad, I just rebuilt my V2 so I didnt get a chance to try this out but I thought about doing horizontal coils but actually using the BF hole to secure my positive leads. I would be using it on a mechanical so obviously the coils would not be as long. I will definitely be trying this the next time I rebuild but just thought I would throw it out there.

BTW nice drip tip, is that a one off from the lathe?

so I finally got around to modding this thing to bottom feed the way I think a bottom feeder should feed. I gutted the internals of the origen and made a new ss deck insert for it and I had to drill through the base and add a negative post, made an insulator for the new deck. I think it came out pretty good and it feds and drain great, no more funky vertical coils sitting in a pool of juice for me

in these first pics you can see the old internals on the left and the new deck to the right, I made the deck feed like a chalice, I think the chalice is one of the best drainage atties I have so I used that same funnel type drain design and it works really well
