This one was a pain in the ... to fit everything, but I finally got it all working. This mod accepts all bats up to an 18650..yes, it uses protected bats
This shows an 801 atomizer but it feels so nice I plan on making a 401 version tomorrow which I'll use with an 18650. I wanted to fit in a voltage regulator using an LM317 and a potentiometer exposed on the side to allow quick adjustments anywhere between 3.5 and 6.0v but there was no way to fit it in such a small mod. I need to find a slightly bigger model to handle it.
The weight of the body is only 20 grams but when you add the bats and connector it has a nice heft to it for such a compact unit. I can't really post pictures of the insides because both pieces are tubes that can't be opened (makes it a real pain in the ... to work with).
The button is the same one that comes with the unit and it was hollowed out with a very small tactile fit inside it. Small wires (took em from a phone line) run under the black cover plate and enter directly into the top head piece. This was the only way I could figure out how to fit the large bats inside such a small body.
Other than that, the thing kicks out the same mad vapor as any other 6v+ with an 801 atomizer.
