I checked three different stores for Flitz, Duraglit and the Cape Cod polishing cloths. No one had them.

So I grabbed some polish that was for all metals, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, etc.

Proceeded to polish my GGTS and scratched the crap out of it. Swirl marks everywhere!!

Really annoying.

Anyone know of stores that sell the above mentioned products? I can't order it online for reasons I don't really feel like explaining.

mothers polish for wheels shines it like new-can get at walmart...its guaranteed not to scratch and believe me it wont! its about $6 for a can and will last years! use a microfiber cloth to buff it.....when the rag turns black, flip rag and buff it off and underneath is the same shine it came in...no need for scrubbing or hard rubbing....next to the mothers ul find "neverdull" polishing cloths which i hear works as good as mothers but ive never used it bc one lil can of mothers last yrs.

after i polish to shine, i use a spray stainless steel shine -spray on cloth then wipe it down bc it protects the shine so it will last about a week btwn polishes bc w/out it i find I have to polish every other day...good luck! :)

Ace hardware lists cape cod cloths but not sure if they are in your area. The cape of cloths are similar to neverdul also if that helps. Don't know way your situation is but Before I had paypal I picked up a visa gift card so I could order stuff online. Hope tat helps nature..
Actually Ace hardware was the last stop I made on the way home and where I picked up this lousy product. I checked all the labels on the shelf (they were sold out of just about everything... poorly stocked store), but they didn't seem to have any of the products I was looking for.

I might have to pick up a prepaid card if I can't find something local.

Mothers wheel polish huh?? Hmm... that should be pretty easy to find. That's the first I've seen someone recommend it.. everyone seems to be gung-ho on the other ones. I just might pick up some of that. what kind of spray is it that you use?

i was thinking once I can get a good polish on it i'd like to use that stuff somone (i can't remember who) was testing out... where you brush it on and it coats it with a protective layer.

any stainless cleaner/polish in an aerosol can will work to help coat n protect a lil....also, alot of ppl use the mothers but its prob buried in the original GGTS thread when everyone on 1st round got thiers. It works AWESOME.period.

as for the coating, im unsure but if you DO use it, make sure u report back on how well it works...ive yet to see the update myself. But to be honest, its kind of a lil ritual for me to polish it up now that I only have to do it once a week or so. :)

Lisa was very kind to send me the polishing cape cod clothes. They are much better than what I had for polishing!! I was really impressed of how easy and nice the tarnish got off from the GG. My GG was dirty in purpose but I had to try those clothes. They are fantastic and they did exactly what I wanted.

For some people that are asking how I shine GG I want to say that there is no product in the market that can do what the wheel that I use on lathe can do. Wheel is a professional tool. But when GG gets shined its very easy to keep it that way by using those caps or anything else at the market. But those cape cod clothes did an exellent job to my GG.:)
