It would be a night and day difference for the better to what you currently have, there is no doubt about that! However, if you can swing slightly more I would HIGHLY recommend the following from Liberty Flights:

1 or 2 EVOD (£6.49 each)

1 or 2 (recommend 2 so you can use one while the other charges...) eGo Spinner Batteries (£21.99 - £23.99 depending on battery life you choose)

Some RAWR vapor or Pink Spot juices.

and a eGo & Riva 510 Chargers (£4.99) to charge your batteries.

Total: ~£33 - £60 depending on the options you go for.

I know it is a fair bit more of an investment than the £24.99 kit that you asked about, but it will be the best bang for you buck you can get without dropping upwards of £150.00 on an advanced setup.

Plus it will likely pay for itself in the the money you are not spending on smokes for a few weeks.

That is my opinion, and I feel strongly that you wil be happy with it, and will get a long time of use from it!

Is that battery the same spec as the one you suggested? Vision eGo Spinner VV 1100mAh Battery - Stainless

My blank carts should be here tomorrow and a cherry and menthol to try. I do not think I will be sticking with this kit though. I need something a bit more reliable when out at work.

I dunno vendors over there but there are UK vendors listed in the Forum Suppliers section here. Reputable folk who are known around ECF (not that it's the only reputable bunch out there, just that it's a good place to start when you're not sure who's good and who isn't).

Filling my own cartomizers is working great for me once I got the "hang of it". Finding the juices you like and have the right nicotine level for you and whether you like PG or VG or what mix... that takes some experimenting. But when you hit the ones that really work, it's nice. Very nice. :)

One thing I suggest if you're using the "condom" method (what a name) is let 'em sit. I set up more than one. Let them really saturate for a while then pull them a bit up in the "condom" and let them stand. You can clear the excess juice by blowing but that always struck me as wasteful. Not to mention messy. :) I keep a bit of a "rotation" going so the excess drips back into the "condom" and the polyfill gets evenly saturated. I'll even set up a couple of the flavors I like in the mornings before I go to bed. That way they're ready and waiting when I'm stumbling around half asleep (I wake up really slowly, always have).

If you want to move on, I suggest taking a look at the eGo style of battery. Lots of vendors have them. Some are "variable voltage" like the Twist or the Spinner. I had a "cig-a-like" kit at first (actually, I ended up buying two in sequence before going eGo... spent more money than I needed to). The "variable voltage" thing can affect the taste and vapor too. That is, you can adjust to your liking. It can make a difference.

A kit I see recommended often around here is this: Twist/Spinner Combo. Now that's a US company and I don't mean exactly that kit but it's the kind of thing I ended up wishing I'd bought first (I found ECF after I'd gotten a full kit... oh well, it got me going and I cut way back on smoking so it wasn't a "loss" really).

The 1000 mAh (and higher even) batteries last much, much longer. I like the Twist myself. Mine is 1000 mAh and I'm getting six or seven hours of use per charge (and I vape pretty heavy... I was a pretty heavy smoker also). I have two so one will be charged when the other runs down.

Also, the eGo style of batteries has dual threads. It can take 510 and eGo threaded attachments so you get loads of choices for the attachments. tanks, clearos, cartos, bunch of directions to go...

Didn't read all the replies but i'll just stipulate. Don't give up for sure. There are suppliers that will allow you try get samples. It'll still cost you but not as bad as getting 30ml of something you hate. The one I started out on, I got 5 10ml bottles of my pick of flavors to try and made my larger order based on those results. I have noticed some suppliers ( I won't name names) that had juice I loved in the beggining got a bad batch or something and they ended up tasting like some sort of bad medicine. It's all good though. I'm sure it taste better than analog breath for sure.

I would add some spare coils for the eVod (2.2Ω), a T3 (with spare coils) and a wall wart for your USB charger:

ok guys got s dumbo question again

I am thinking about picking up a few 510 carto's just to use up odd bits of juice I have.

does a standard 510 drip tip fit on them?

Also if I get the stainless steel one can I use tank cracker juices in them?

What it comes down to is I dont want to muddy up a good protank head with a tiny bit of a dark troublesome juice if I can just carto it up and call it done.

That's fine. I like Boge and SmokTech single coil LR.

Yes.

What's a tank cracker juice? I mean, if it's an eliquid, you can use in in any head.

What it comes down to is I dont want to muddy up a good protank head with a tiny bit of a dark troublesome juice if I can just carto it up and call it done.

Or you can get a baby T3--they are small and cute and work just like your ProTank. And they clean up well. You can use one for several juices. Maybe grab a spare coil.

Certain eliquids will melt/crack/cloud plastic tanks. I was wondering if the stainless ones bypassed this problem.

Yes, cartos are not made of plastic nor the stainless steel tanks. The only time you have to worry is when you're using plastic clearos and plastic carto tanks.

My heart goes out to ya' Phil; it's all so terribly confusing isn't it:?: I've been following along here hoping to see your 'eureka' moment - still no joy??? Hang in there, these folks will stay with you until you get settled :danger:to all vape sites

Had a bad day yesterday didn't put enough juice in cart went to work  very stressful. Took somebody's advice :toast: and soaked a cart over night just had a decent hit, actually liked the taste. Although I was talking to her indoors last night and she was so pleased I had given up the weed we decided to order some upgrades so I ordered a 1100 spinner and some clearomisers as also suggested by somebody :toast: will be buying a round at this rate. Got a few different juices on the way so its looking good.
Thanks again everybody you have been a great support.
Phil. :rickroll::rickroll::rickroll::rickroll::rickroll:

Yes, a drip tip fits. I've got one on my Boge 510 carto right now. If nothing else, the liquids I vape for longer periods, I've got a dripper bottle so I can drop a bit in now and then, keep the carto wet. And a drip tip is easier to pop off and on than the little rubber bit that cartos come with.

Also, "stainless" is a color choice. They're pretty much all made the same. That is, metal tubes. My battery and drip tip are black so I order black cartos. But I had one that died yesterday and so I went and picked at the seam I could see on the carto and, turns out, the black is because of a wrap glued to the tube. Which looks exactly like the few "stainless steel" cartos I have.

Not sure they're actually using stainless steel or not but whatever it is, it's metal. If there's a liquid that can crack a metal tube, I wouldn't suggest using it. :)

Wow got my spinner and Evod today and a drop of menthol. What can I say its brilliant it is so smoooth. Also it worked out cheaper than the crappy kit I had. I would like to thanks everybody again for helping me through my sticky patch . Wont be going back to the stinkies now I have this.:toast::vapor::rickroll::banana::rickroll::rickroll::rickroll:

Phil, congrats on the move. I also had issues when I first tried vaping. Actually, I tried, didn't like it, a cig lookalike, and went back to the nasty. Couple years later tried again, this time with a tank with a cartomizer and went in with a different expectation. This time I didn't expect it to be the same as an analog. After a little while, I got used to them, and have no desire what so ever to go back.

Today is my one year anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!!:toast:
