i wouldnt say the majority use cartos at all
and i have never used an atty with a cartridge thats silly
i use a drip tip and i drip directly on the bridge , though by your comment i can see why u have had a problem with atties

Think it's safe to say that people either use cartridges, cartomizers or drip tips .... lol!

There are so many options in E-Cig stuff. But I can say for just starting out an 3.7v ego clone is the way to go. Get an Ego Passthru Battery 20 bucks a pack of Boge 2.0 or Smoketeck 1.7 ohm cartomizers 5-7 bucks and some bottles of juice from a vendor that sounds good to you.

I also like a Cisco or Joye 1.5ohm 306 on an ego with no cone with a 306 long or cannon drip tip for direct dripping 5-10 dollars and just start experimenting! Next logical step from there is a Lava Tube complete set up with a 3.0 boge cartomizer at around 4.7v and a carto tank. But then you have to get something to punch holes in the carto's as well. Good luck, and if you need any help feel free to ask.

You can put about 15 drops of liquid in a smallest carto available. The next size, XL, you can drop about 30 drops. Maybe I'm missing something. Is this how it is using attys now? What you're saying is when I'm on the go I'll have to bring bottles of liquid with me as opposed to just bring cartos, prefilled at home.

Yep unless you keep your carto's in a tank or drip and top them off about every so often, they don't last as long or taste as good. But you can get more hits in a row than dripping in an atty...unless you use a donut in your atty, which is a small wad of Stainless Steel mesh people are putting in their atties.

yes thats right you would have to bring juice with you , and everytime you take 6 or so puffs you would drip 2-3 drops through your drip tip on the bridge of the atty ,
in no way am i saying its more convenient than a carto cause it simply isnt but i do get the best vapour flavour and throat hit this way ,
u can do the upside down cartridge filler thing with them but id rather use a carto then that cartridge ,
i vaped about a year mostly just dripping which is without the cartridge with a drip tip , it is a pain in the but at times but i got used to it , now i use a bottom feeder because its like dripping but hassle free , hope that clears it up a little , i tend to ramble

I had V2 and liked it. So much to choose from. My best advice is to spend some time on the forum, consider your needs and move forward. I like the Boge LR carts that have a 510 carts. I think they will work with your v2, and avoid any strange aftertaste. Also I ordered some juice from MadVaps.com and they are really affordable. You may consider looking at a Mod device or ego and then find the flavors and carts that are best to your liking.

The first kits I bought online were attys. 510, 801-T, 901-T, Ego with and without T. These are all attys. Attys are for home use. I tried dripping, which as the term indicates, requires a few drops of liquid you have to put constantly. If you have a lot of time doing that, I don't have any objection to it. Man, I can't imagine myself doing that and with bottles of liquid always close by.

The 510 kit comes with an atty and 5 carts. Which means it can be used for dripping. The othe slim cig I had is a three piece also with an exposed atty. I know what you're saying. Attys last longer. But what you're failing to indicate is that attys have their disadvantage. Dripping means constant refilling. If you don't mind bringing bottles with you when you're traveling, I agree with you.

i agree and am saying it was a pain in the but carying a bottle or 2 with me , i used 3 ml glass eye dropper bottles . i tossed the carts that came with it and used a drip tip instead , it does suck but that was the only way to get the consistency i wanted.
i dont drip anymore but i did for a long time even while in the car or at work

I never went that far. I smoked analogs when I was out during my first e-cig weeks. Even at home I hated constant refilling. It doesn't have to be that way. Like I've mentioned in other threads, I focused on the wrong parts. I focused mostly on the T as in Ego-T, 901-T, etc. Cartos finally made sense to me.

ya i still smoke and ive been at it for a couple years , not good, i use a reo now so all i need to refill is the 3 ml bottle inside the reo and im good for a full day , i hated cartos until i got my reo but now i use them at work when i dont want to get sand and dirt in my drip tip and as long as i squonk my bottle frequently they work great u just got to keep them wet and topped up

ha ha now back to the OP since i jacked his thread , the kanger horizontal cartomizers work well on the 808 and are easy to fill/refill and quite cheap id give em a try with some quality juice

try that and based on your OP
What i hated about it
vapor wasnt consistant
-flavour was ok but sometimes tastes metallic or battery like
-throat killed on slow long draws.....(only thing i could handle was the 6mg carts)
-on occasion i would burn my lips while inhaling (if i didnt use a drip tip)
-carts were inconsistent some lasted a while others not even close

I could go on with what i didnt like but thats not why im posting.

I would like to purchase something that will keep me away from analogs and so far it has been 10 days.... but im not sure if i can make it.

I want lots of vapour....i dont want to kill my throat.....hate the dry feeling I get when using these v2cigs

I want something i can fill with liquid i purchase and not have to worry about it for a day. (i was a 3/4 pack a day smoker)

i would say get a reo with a good atty
cause it holds a 3ml or a 6ml bottle inside so u can pick it up and go and be good for a long time hassle free ,
heres a good deal on a used one i found

IMO V2 sucks. They are carpetbaggers. BTW, my first setup was thier ultimate kit. Except for the fact that it opened my eyes enough to realize vaping would work......so maybe it was worth the $200 just for that realization.

8 months in for me and I went through lots of equipment upgrade steps that were expensive. If you are looking at the Buzz Pro, I say go for it. I have 2 and they are my go to devices. I love'em. Skip the egos, e-powers, indulgence etc. Get a good VV mod, and the Buzz is one.

Use 3.0 ohm Boge cartos and you have a wide range of power to work with.

If you buy it and don't like it, I'll buy it from you.

Thanks for all the input guys

I just ordered a wide variety of juice and some horizontal cartos.

Im gonna try to fill my own carts and try different PG\VG ratios. I

dont think its the nic level that im craving. I tried both the 12mg pre-filled carts and the 6mg pre-filled carts from V2cigs and the 12mg were way to strong for my throat so i threw them out couldnt handle the throat hit.

If this doesnt work im gonna upgrade.....and yes it will most likely be the buzz pro :)

Thanks again for the help and advice

You can rinse cartos out and refill them. get a 10ml luer lock syringe from one of the vendors that carrys them and use a short piece of 3/8" tubing as a 'coupler' between the end of the syringe and carto. Use several plunges in hot water to clean it out. If there is a lot of juice in a full carto use a small guage needle on the syringe to stick down into the stuffing and flush it out with water first. Sling as much water out as you can and put them in a warm place to dry for a couple of days.
