Hi guys. Im a newbie here and want advice on my first vap. I would like something from canada where i can order e liquid and such from as well and not get killed on shipping. I was looking at the apollo which looked pretty good but its from the usa. I dont care about any mods at this point but in the future it might be an option. Any advice would be great.

If it helps im a light social smoker but would like to be done with.it all and figured this would help a lot

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Welcome to the Canuck forum! I would first suggest some thorough reading of this site. There is a veritable ton of tips and suggestions for putting together a decent PV setup. There is a whole section devoted to suppliers in the US and Canada and a trip to some of those sites is also a good start. I am not flippin you off, but it is impossible to make a reasoned choice until you have gotten your head around some of the basics first.

As to a good choice for a noob, I will refer you to my post on that subject here. I understand that some of the items I listed may not be available right now, but I show you that for demonstration purposes only. You may come to want something completely different. It is all extremely subjective. :vapor: Start poking around and asking questions and you'll find your way soon enough. Glad to help a fellow noob wherever I can!

Cheers!

Any more advice is welcome

Yeah. Don't get an eGo-T or any tank/needle atomizer combo. Stick with an atty for dripping or Cartomizers (with or without a carto tank).

These piercing atomizer/tank systems look good but perform poorly. We've all wasted money going down that route, learn from our mistakes.

Depends on if you've actually tried it or not. You might not like it ....but you probably will ;) .

So i'd get a cheap basic 510 kit, electrovapors, canvape, or happyvaper all carry them, and all are excellent vendors in my experience, so shop around between those.

Main reason is the parts work for pretty much everything if you want another device later and it's a dirt cheap way to get your foot in the door.

I will add that there are numerous excellent Canadian suppliers listed in the suppliers section, and somebody will flash you a list if you make a request for it there. All have great service and are very good at dealing with noobs. Each has a kind of specialty "house" line but carry a wide range of devices and other things needed for vaping. There are more as well that I am yet to check out myself so by all means visit them all! Poke around and start putting together some things you figure you like then come back here and we'll help you sort things out.

It looks complicated because it is! lol But don't worry. Lots of folks much more knowledgeable than me to help keep you on the garden path. Just be patient. Lots of us have work going while we traipse around the forum. It can take some time before you will get many replies. But try and wait for lots to weigh-in. Like I said, there are many more than happy to help you along your personal vapour trail.

A tip for the wise... Read the FAQs on forum etiquette -- twice. It will save you from making some of the most common errors, such as what not to mention in the threads, and why. I don't think I have crossed any lines with this post, but it is always wise to play it safe and use private messaging for stuff you are unsure of.

Considering your a light smoker, you may want to look at getting a Bloog or a Volt (they are basically the same), or a 510 kit.

The advantage of the 510 is, as Chime said, that it will accept the majority of atomizers and cartomizers out there.

The Ego is a great unit, and is 510 threaded as well. But it's a big bigger and maybe not ideal for a casual smoker. I usually recommend the Ego as a starter ecig, but that's for the regular smokers.
