The snow has been so deep at the back property line that I haven't been able to get out there to give those much hated hedges the hard pruning I had planned. I wanted to get it done while they were still dormant. Doing it this close to budding will probably make them look pretty scrawny this year.

Still waiting for the ground to thaw so I can dig a drainage trench along the edge of the drive, and run one of our gutter extensions to it. This weather is putting a hitch in my gitty up!

Sweet dreams Fran and Tracy :)

Good morning everyone!

ElDee, that recipe sounds good! Funny, I tried the SB Mothers Milk yesterday for the first time too. I also have quite a few cloned recipes for it. It's funny to see all the different variations of it out there.

One of my co workers wants to learn the fine art of DIYing so I've offered to show him the ropes. First on his mixing attempts is Kiwi/Marshmallow. I will let you know how it turns out. :)

Checking the cupboard to see if I still have any local honey. Going to try that along with everything else for these allergies. (forgot all about it!)

Crossing fingers that they find this leak and fix it. Been airing up every other week for a couple of months now....it's getting old!

Good morning everyone!!!

Happy whatever day it is!!

Tracy, I sure do hope you're feeling better. I worry about my kids! I like to see them all healthy and happy! That tire probably just needs an inner tube or a new air valve. Both are pretty inexpensive.

Today is going to be housekeeping day here at my place. Okay, so I'm a neat freak. Got to do it though.

I used to have a woman from town come once a week and clean, but her cleaning hours kept getting shorter and the money she charged didn't. I had to give up on that deal. Its just as easy to do it myself anyhow.

Hope you all have a fine day!

Oh, and I was reading .... Spring will be here in Texas on Friday. I think for our northern areas its actually scheduled for July 1st, Summer July 15th, Autumn is July 28th and back to Winter again on August 10th.

The thing about using honey to treat allergies is that just like antihistamines, you need to start using it several months before allergy season starts. I use it every day.

Raw honey has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. It promotes body and digestive health, is a powerful antioxidant, strengthens the immune system, eliminates allergies, and is an excellent remedy for skin wounds and all types of infections. Raw honey's benefits don't stop there. Raw honey can also stabilize blood pressure, balance sugar levels, relieve pain, calm nerves, and it has been used to treat ulcers. Raw honey is also an expectorant and anti-inflammatory and has been known to effectively treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma.

Raw honey purchased from a local source is an excellent way of treating seasonal allergies. Local honey is preferred for treating allergies because the likelihood is great that it will contain small amounts of the specific pollens an individual may be allergic to.

To treat allergies, take a teaspoon of raw honey a couple of times a day starting a few months prior to allergy season.

Ahhh yeah....the slow leak...I take the tire off and spray it with 50% Simple Green 50% water....bubbles indicate where the leak is....

A couple of the new military tires on the Dodge had weird to me colored wood stuck in them...almost orange like fat lighterd...I assume it's Afghani and bomb debris...not stuck in the treads but sidewalls...A sidewall is thinner than the tread area so a plug is a no go....One tire was dang near almost new with a splinter on the edge of the tread...I plugged it and it stayed aired up for a month....Then it leaked...I pulled the plug and installed another......leaked....I bought some glue made for sealing plugs...It stopped the leak for 36 hours and then did something I've never seen before....Blew the dang plug out....

I spent some time over there, but never noticed anything like you're talking about in the tire sidealls. Of course, I wasn't looking for it either.

I'm wondering if those "splinters" in the sidewalls could have come from the unit being shipped back to the States? If it was from IED's I'd think they would be metal.

I dunno. Strange.

Not sure Tejas....One had a sharp and jagged piece of metal in the sidewall...Looked like a bomb fragment too me.....

LOL, I was just going to say that I doubt TT was ever under attack when he was there. I hope not anyway!
