Same here Fran, just a bit of drift left on the north side of the garage.

We have an old metal shed, one of those that you put together yourself that's about 40 years old. Keeping the roof snow load off of it is essential, this winter I pulled the metal eve strip off the back with the roof rake. Got the ladder and pliers out today and got it straightened out and back on. It will hold fine once the weather gets hot enough for me to re tar the roof this summer.

I had been thinking about digging a shallow ditch along the side of the paved part of the driveway, fill it about 2/3 with cement, and using a piece of pvc pipe to form a shallow swale for rain and gutter run off. Would certainly move a lot of water away from the most offensive leaky area to the basement. Katie decided today that she really doesn't like the idea, so much less work for me. I'll just rework the grade up next to the foundation and run the gutter extension further out on that side. Something like this was the plan...

Look at the bright side, Bov. Katie will certainly keep you in shape. No need for a gym membership for you ;)

Just one person's opinion piece, one of many by many, just thoughts and observations, made me think of y'all who are having troubles with USPS of which, to date, I've been a blissful non-participant, non-recipient.

Oh, I so understand the need, the want, the desire and the connection to the Post Office...

This place, this wonderful little place, is one of my favorite stops when I am out that way--the people are wonderful, visiting takes me back to a time almost forgotten, it's living, breathing history and I (as well as the people of this small community) will be heartbroken to see the day it's closed, lost forever.

Good morning, everyone. So glad to see that spring has sprung for my northener friends, make the most of it--carpe diem, live in the moment and all that...

 s and hugs for you, Bov.
I get it...you know that I do.

Morning ladies and gents :)

Wow is it windy here today! 20-30mph, gusts up to 45 says the wind advisory. At least it'll help dry the ground up some. I tried edging some of the flower beds yesterday, but it's still a sloppy mess, with most of the mud sticking to my edger shovel

Thanks for the links to read later Moon.

Pokey I know ;)

It's been wide open in the body shop the last couple of weeks...Paid and resting ATM....

The wind hasn't let up for a couple of days here....Warm but very. very windy....better than cold and windy though.....

Horatio, SC....Can't say I've been there but the name is familiar....Most of my SC adventures were around Manning, Darlington or Goose Creek....That little store is a throwback into how the South used to be...Around here the little country stores are all shuttered and gone by the wayside....including the one right down the road that housed the Post Office....I certainly hope Horatio keeps their PO....

My last dealio with the PO went smoothly...The Vapor Shark was scheduled to arrive Friday and made the scene on Thursday...Opa Locka, Fla...or something like that is where it started it's journey....musta missed the Tampa holdup !!!! The Shark is @ the same size as the Stick 20....so far I'm loving the dna chipped Shark...The Lemo and Goblin are both working very well....Life is good on the vapor front...

Good morning all. That's the thing I miss about progress. All those little stores and shops we grew up with. Our post office is not that good. I think part of their training is to be as slow as possible. I was there yesterday in a line about the 8th person in a line about 20 people long. I've never been there when there wasn't a line to the rear of the place.
Afterward I remember the one at the drug store never has a line. I wished I'd remember that when I send a package.

I saw a video of someone building an atty. He had a japanese cotton pad and he pulled off that 'skin' and then pulled out the fluffy cotton from the center. I've been doing that on my last few builds and I like it. I can't tell if it's any better but I always wondered about that 'skin'.
