Salem,
Before this thread gets away from me....(((hugs))) for your GS. :(. I hate it when we lose our furbabies.

I am contemplating a crown.

I also got to try out the Nebox and the Target (with ceramic coils) yesterday.
I loved the Nebox for its size/weight and the all in one aspect of it. Not sure how easily it'll be to trouble shoot when the need arises though. That sucker hit very well!
The target looks pretty cool but I was the first to try it out post fill and that first pull was killer burnt!!!! We turned it down some then after some primer pulls it was nice. I'm anxious to hear how well they hold up!

It's been wide open here for several days....Shopping for items when I can....Comparable wall mounts for flat screen TVs....Wally's $127.....Harbor Freight $29 and I got a 20% off coupon....I learned that sheet from Salem...I scoped them hard and like the HF one better...Got the old 700lb Sony out last night....also took the top 1/2 of a huge azz entertainment center off and to my amazement the top of the bottom chest looks kick azz...I then measured the between 2 doors area and devised a plan...decided on the wall mount....Stump is up and gone...hauled in a load of top soil today and started grading that out....Gonna service my tractor in the am and get that yard finished where the tree fell....Then it's off to get the 10 million limbs up....Gonna have to start another pile cause my regular spot is getting scary big...It's gonna be one Hell of a fire.....

The Crown leak was as I suspected....Mad rush filling and got some down the chimney....Not a drop since...

Whomever ran over those kids remains at large.....I got no sympathy for that sheet....

Took the first pill from the second bottle of Harvoni today....I'm feeling optimistic about being cured....Thing is though the HepC has limited what I could or couldn't do....I secluded myself...Wouldn't work in a shop with other people because in my trade blood loss isn't rare.....Now with that cap possibly off I get the feeling that I may never accomplish all that I want....I feel my time here is to short....like the end may be just around the corner....Not really sure what's causing the doom and gloom outlook....Hope it ain't a freekin premonition....Truth is I lay sheet down here that I don't tell regular peeps....Trust I'm fine...I'll get this all sorted out

WOW LD, that really made my day! ;)

Be careful because those feelings of gloom and despair may be a side effect of the med. I have experienced the same many, many times. Hang in there, ((((LD)))) you are not going anywhere just yet. You will be hanging out here with us for a long time to come.

Good morning, all. I am back down to 34.8W with these ceramic coils this morning. The flavor is very clean and just outstanding. Think that I found a winner.

Dee about 4 years ago I had a bout with vertigo. Went to the Dr and saw the PA. Saw gave me some meds and said she wanted to do an EKG. She takes the test, says we need to redo it and then comes back in and says in a matter of fact voice... "you've had a heart attack, Dr wants to do a stress test" and walks out....

Well I'm freaking OUT !!! Long story short, no heart attack although I had a regular irregularity and a thickening of the back wall. I had and echo and stress test 3 months ago and both are all gone.

I say all that to say this... I understand your thoughts and feelings. You see Greeks start dying the day after they're born.. you can laugh but it's true !!! And I've been afraid of death ever since.

But the Days Between (Grateful Dead song, had to throw that in) the EKG and the Echo, I did a LOT of soul searching and realized and made peace with the fact I too will leave this rock one day. And It was kind of a relief. Since then I've tried to take time to smell the roses, enjoy the moment and soak up every minute with Connie and Kia.

I hope you can do the same.

... Hey maybe that's what has healed this Heart :)

I think that it is only natural to think like this when we THINK that we are faced with our own mortality. be damn nice if the docs would have a clue what they are talking about before actually saying things though.

You guys may or may not remember this but, several years ago, I had a bad case of pneumonia. It was in mid July believe it or not. Long story short, I could barely get my breath and it seemed like I was not getting the treatment that I should be getting. Took a few months but I finally got over it. My doc did another chest xray. Walked into my exam room and said that he was absolutely shocked because he really thought that I had lung cancer! Now my lungs were clear so that was not the case. I almost fell out of my chair. Left that place and cried like a baby. Anyway, I think that the reason he did not treat the pneumonia as he should have was because he thought I had cancer. Needless to say, he is no longer my doc.

Just a few years ago I had a scare where it was thought that I may have ad colon cancer. Had a CT scan which ruled that out but, they did find 2 small masses at the bottom of each lung. Mass is not the word but the word escapes me right now. I am going to have to be monitored and have a CT scan every 2 years to watch for any changes or growth. All of this has really made me wonder if I am going to be dealing with something horrible one day from all the years of smoking. For now all I can really do is to enjoy each day to its fullest and take it as it comes. With my fingers crossed that these masses ( lack of the real word) stay small and cause no problems.:thumb:

Morning folks :)

I'm glad that we're all comfortable enough to unburden ourselves here among friends. And I'm very glad that in Wharf's and Salem's cases, the Drs were not quite accurate!

Dee, you have a multitude of sheet hanging over your head lately...tell those thoughts that get on down the road. I suspect it's a combination of isolating yourself + the meds. Any time you need reminding of your value as a friend, holler at any of us!

Maybe winter is the season for soul searching, like Wharf, I've been wondering even more lately why people rush through life not realizing that the most important things are not job and money. Those things are needed of course, but the most important thing in life (IMO) is how we can touch others with lasting love. It's certainly not something that I've mastered, I get frustrated every day with Katie's advancing dementia, but it's a worthy goal to strive towards.

Tracy, regarding the Nebox...a lot of folks from our local vape shop have them and one issue is common among them all...it's a leaker! Just a heads up for you!

Thanks all !!

Soul searching.....Here lately I've been reliving my past....My decisions.....I never was one to take the safe road....I strayed from the flock...that is why I am who I am though and I'm comfortable with that.....Seeing that I can be free of HepC.....free from major debt....It's been a long hard road and as I near the end the thoughts that it really may be the end crept in......I'd not given a thought to the meds and a possible side effect....At any rate I'll come to grips with it....I live by my wits....I don't rise and head off to work everyday....well not for someone else's benefit anyway....This too shall pass....Lately I've been removing excessive baggage....family that's always caused drama....fake azz friends....The path is getting clearer....

I've got a thousand things to do today....Off here in a minute too snag that wall mount and then too Wally's for a sick azz Vizio....garage door man called and has the parts....will be here in the next am.....I much prefer doing all the work but garage doors just ain't my bag......I hate depending on others cause we all know how that ends up...

Dementia....So the other day just after cutting through the base of that pine.....The saw is still scalding hot....300lb slabs of pine are smelling up the area.....I break for a water and some dog in the lap....Mom waddles up and asks what's going on.....You're not leaving that wood there are you???? You're not leaving that there for two weeks!!! What the Hell?????? Luckily I caught myself and laughed it off.....

Thank you Tracy, I'll pass along the square head tip!

Dee, culling all the negative people out of my life is something I want to do, just can't bring myself to turn my back on Katie. I'm not sure she even realizes that she would not be able to live here alone. The ex is starting to learn that NO is a new word in my vocabulary tho :)

At some point I know that there will need to be changes in Katie's living arrangements. As her dementia advances, her temper is getting worse...and she was never one to try to control her temper in her good days. I know the time will come when it gets too much for me to handle alone.

Other than that que sera,sera

Oh really? I didn't know but will ask tomorrow if that's all they are making now. The employee said it initially leaked (bummer) until she put the square headed one in.

Salem,
Was it nodules they saw? I've heard of that before. (Different family members have had "watches" on theirs) In most cases it was nothing to worry about. I'm hoping the same for you! (((Hugs)))

Yes, Tracy. Nodules were exactly what they found. I remembered the word shortly after I left here. I am not going to worry much about them. I will keep up with the bi annual scans and go from there. It was a very nerve wrecking 2 days waiting for the results from the second scan though. The first scan was of my colon and they were looking for a blockage. Did not find a blockage but did find those in the lower lobes of each lung.

I really don't rave about much but when it comes to vaping but , these Vaporesso cCell coils are outstanding! They just keep getting better and better ( as far as flavor goes) as I use it. Thinking I am going to pick up a pack of the NI200 to try as well. I purposely loaded it with one of my favorite but also gunkiest flavors. Anxious to see if it lasts as long as others say.

Did you prime the coil first? So strange because while I was breaking mine in, I had to keep going higher and higher on the wattage. After break in, I am set around 35W great flavor and vapor.

Thanks for the condolences on Selena. Believe it or not, I mailed a nice flat stone to my GS so that he can decorate it and use for her headstone. I know that sounds odd but, the soil is very sandy in Charleston and you can't just go out and find nice, big rocks there. Here in the upstate we have that ungodly red clay but, tons of large stones.

Bov, just a heads up in case you don't know this. Medicare does NOT cover long term care. I checked it out in case we too have to look at nursing homes. I was surprised to find that out. A Medigap plan will but, they are pricey. This country truly sucks at taking care of it's elderly.

Scored the Harbor Freight wall mount and a 55' Vizio....I'll report back on the pros and cons of the mount,,,Sweet deal for sure and it mounts up to a 70' TV.......

Stopped by my cousin's house to look at two cars her son wrecked....One has seats for the samurai and that checked out well....Another has to be repaired....That looks swell for me!!!!!! Thought ran through my mind that I was happy she had found happiness in this latest marriage....Then as I was heading too the car the neighborhood watch shows up......After explaining my presence and talking with the guy a bit he tells me the marriage is on the rocks.....So much for that

Glad to hear the Vaporesso coild are kicking it.....This sub ohm/juice sucking trend has me concerned......We have gone from wisps of vapor too clouds.....I remember when 5MLs of juice consumption was pretty dang heavy vaping....I'd hate to even know the MLs I consumed today....I cut it too 1.5MGs and debating cutting that to .75MGs....When I cut the 3 to 1.5 I left recipes as they were and added 1/2 the nic....So actually a little less than 1.5 now......After I get all these other dragons killed I plan on elimenating nicotine...Likely with 0Mgs as a crutch...
