Thank you for sharing that info and link Salem. I will be checking it out for sure.

You said that so well Moon, my mom has always been such an independent woman. I will use your words in hopes of getting her "on board" with the idea. :)

As for the target, the tank gets hot, but not the mods. Loving the Target and hoping for larger capacity in the future!

I am now wondering if there may be an issue with the RX or batts. We get Samsung or lg at the shop I believe. This married trio are green jackets, but Bo has the (better) chocolate jackets and complains of the battery issue as well. I see another mod in his future!
The 26650 kayfun puked out a puddle of juice on his RX and the on board charging feature is toast! Smh

It ain't the batteries 908 !!!!!!!!! Took the Jaybo on the guitar trip last week....3 full Crowns.....3 fully charged mods....240 miles total....Dang good thing I took all 3 mods....The Jaybo provides terrible battery life....Still loving the Presa though.....

Gotta check into the VTech moniter........

12 months back I agreed to a 12 month extension with Direct TV.......They swore the bill would be $89 for the duration of the 12 month contract....Month 2 of the contract the bill was $94 and remained $94 except for the one month it was $110.....They had a bullsheet story about the 110 bill and since I was under contract there was no threat I could make to alleviate the situation....Basically they said they would charge what they wanted contract be damned....I told the I would pay 89 contract be damned....Now out of contract....Wheeling and dealing I left $99 in the account in anticipation of a 94 bill....Hell Yeah 101........I tore into that azz.....No new contract and now the bill is 79.....dollar to a donut says it won't be 79 next month......I hate Direct for their lying ways....$50 for 10 gigs of internet here so that's not an option.....'Merica....The Land of politically backed corporate greed....

We have the Life Line system thru the local hospital for my 95 year old mom who still lives in an apt by herself. Had it for I guess 5 years maybe more. She hasn't used it before this last 10 mos. when she got down a couple of times and had to be helped up. It's well worth it for the independence along with meals on wheels.

I am my moms meals on wheels. we started out with the life alert through our local hospital. It was less expensive too. My mom complained about them taking too long to answer (probably in her own mind) so we switched to Alert1.

We paid $20 per month for the local one. Alert1 costs $330.00 per year. Thank goodness there are 3 of us ( my 2 sisters and myself) splitting the cost.

Good morning all. Off to the dentist for some dental work for me today. Hope that you all have a great day :)

Tracy, do yourself a favor and get the Melo2, Atlantis2 or the Starre Pro for larger capacity with the cCells. There is actually a very long list of larger capacity tanks that are compatible. I almost lost my mind when i started with the Atlantis2 and the original 2 ml tank. The 5 ml tank works great though. They do like to drink the juice.

I had to come back when it hit me that Moon said his mom is 95 years old! That is awesome!!!

Lol she's a tough old bird. Unfortunately I think we are probably losing an aunt today. :( She had a heart attack about the same time as Salem's mom, got some stints. Came home apparently fine then word is she had a stroke day before yesterday then I have word this morning that they are taking her off life support. The generation of the Great Depression and WWII is quickly fading leaving a gap in a certain unquantifiable joy of life and togetherness that we don't seem to have anymore, sad.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that, Moon :( My mom has DNR orders and she would not be placed on life support. She has been extremely tired the last few days and who knows if she is taking the meds that the doc said is mandatory. Plus, she is smoking like a fiend. I feel sure that the doc was saying that there is not much that they can do for her. The condition of her heart and unwillingness to take statins really limits what the medical field can do to help.

BTW- the thing with the meds is that she has never been a believer in taking them. Now that she is older, she sits there and reads the inserts that come with them and convinces herself how bad they are. Then, she just quits taking them. The Dr told her when she was released that these meds are keeping her arteries open and taking them is not negotiable. My sister was at her house Monday afternoon and my mom already had stopped taking them that day. As soon as my sister reminded her what the doc said, she quickly took them. We do try the best that we can but, she is stubborn as hell.

Moon, This

I was going to ask , Why on earth won't she take statins? I was on them for a few years big ones 80mg lipitor, I had more than one Doc tell me even healthy people probably should take them.

Dr. Arthur Agatston: Pros and Cons of Statins for Your Heart

The largest review of statin safety ever done has concluded that overall benefits of the cholesterol-lowering drugs outweigh potential risks.

For the study, Huseyin Naci, MHS at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London and other investigators included 100 studies and nearly 250,000 patients in their review. In comparing years of clinical research on seven statin cholesterol-lowering drugs, they found that side effects are not common among those taking statins to heart disease, and that

Agreed Moon. I was thinking the same not long ago. I so loved when I was a kid being in my Yiayia's (grandmother) backyard after dinner, eating baklava and other pastries listening to the adults telling stories.

:

She had someone tell her that they cause dementia. She did get the weak, shaky legs from them but, her doc even tried her on Crestor. Crestor is the one statin that even if you only take it once a week it will actually be beneficial.

She tells Drs that she is allergic to statins and will argue with me if I try and correct her. It is so very frustrating.

BTW- I know that statins in fact prevent dementia. A person that she knows told her that they caused dementia in her father.

Oh, and let a drug that she is taking show up on one of those commercials for lawyers doing class action suits. Fougetaboutit.

You would have to know my mom. She swears that Drs don't tell her everything. She thinks it is all a conspiracy.
