Salem - cold brew is easy, after one or two tries
Get a quite coarse ground of something like a breakfast blend, relatively light roast.
Six ounces of the grounds, using a normal measuring cup.
Grounds go in pitcher, with a quart of water.
Optional stir a little with a wood spoon.
Cover with Saran wrap, or place a saucer over the top.
Let it sit on a counter for 12 hours. A bit more or less is fine.
Strain it through cheesecloth, or use a French press mesh filter, or use a hemp bag, or...
Optional second strain through a normal coffee filter.
The concentrate stores in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
I normally cut it with plain water, 50/50.
Great for ice coffee, or hot (microwave it to warm it).
The advantages are very low acid and the bean flavors come through well.
I'll make it at night, a couple times a week, top off the pitcher in the fridge in the morning.
