I gotta agree with El Dee that the battery cap is kinda finicky on the vt75. I don't feel like I'll cross thread it, but that's because I always put it back on by turning counter clockwise until I feel the thread drop into place, and only then switch to clockwise.

I do like the overall finish and feel of it, but prefer the SDNA.

The VT 75.....Pros....Ergonomic....Fits the hand well...So far finish is durable.....Buttons are polished SS not chrome....Good life from the 26650....

Cons.....The battery door....Like Mark said begin threading it on in reverse....there is an audible click when it aligns....Just be easy at first and make double sure the threads in the mod and on the cap are free from any metal...When I know I've got it started and it's threading easy I always go back and forth a few times to wear in those first threads.....Still the body is zinc alloy and very soft....the cap is SS and very hard.....SS threads are notorious for galling....Hard and soft??? Recipe for disaster....With care and a little NoLox or in my case gun oil everything should be OK....Should...Just my 75 smells like a pistol....26650 takes up two slots in the charger...It never looks to be making contact on the negative side but somehow it always is....It's a big old battery but does last a good while...If you pocket carry you need to catch another notch in the old belt...She's a bit heavy...Everything is fine with the VT75....Just be careful with those threads....

I'd give the nod to the SMY......

I did some yard work today. Hedges are done, and an overgrown Snowball Bush got a little chainsaw action.

That's a nice looking mod, Moon. That red has your name on it ;)

Just got done ordering the black w/red accent 2- 4wks shipping  First DNA chipset is on the way

I apologize for being so quiet...
Some of you may have seen my post wishing my daughter well at college on fb.....she has come back home today with severe anxiety. Not sure what will happen but her health is most important. Please keep her in your thoughts. It's really tough on her.
:(

Awe, you know that I will keep you and your family in my thoughts. I do hope that she is able to work through this soon for her health and yours.
