Its been pretty windy here since last night. Thank goodness that nobody got hit as bad as predicted though.

These darn weather people kill me. Standing out in barely windy conditions being so dramatic about it all. I wish that just one time they would be standing out there in real wind. Jim Cantore should get smacked upside the head with flying debris and then maybe they would stop sensationalizing everything so much :D

My son and grandson are here but, I don't think that they got hit too hard on the coast. I saw flooding in downtown Charleston but that will happen if we get a good rain lol

I met Cantori before Fran.....several times actually...He put me and my old Surf City crew on TWC,,,then Fram flattened the place.....

Gettting pounded atm.....No power so this is likely my last post for the duration....Tornadoes are around and the wind is kicking it....We're hunkered down and riding the storm out....

It's just crazy that they put themselves out there (on the beach no less) while making residents evacuate. One of these days something is going to happen to one of them and maybe they will change their ways.

I would like it better if they just reported the weather and left all of the dramatic acting to real actors lol

I have seen quite a few pictures coming out of the Charleston area. Many places are quite a mess and most everyone that I and my son know are without power. Could have been so much worse and thank goodness it was not.

Heck, we are 200 miles inland and have a few trees down in our yard. The wind was pretty darn strong here all day long.

Stay safe up there, LD. Hopefully power will be restored quickly.

Finally the neighborhood is quiet....Still raining but it's light....Broken dam is on the other side of Fayetteville....Aaron Lakes....I once lived there with a paralegal....I've seen several dams with water flowing over them....many flooded roads...many roads blocked by trees....I've got one tree at a 45* angle caught up in another tree....limbs out the ying yang....the little creek on my driveway was a raging river most of the day....pretty bad flooded area about 200 yards down the creek where there are 2 ponds built by neighbors....The whole area here on South and East has been heavily damaged....Running the computer off a jump box designed to boost cars..no telling when the power will return as there are lines down all around....Tomorrow I got generator duty to keep the fridges and freezers somewhat cool.....gotta check all the roofs for damage as well........I hear the beach house got a full assualt but it will likely be near on a week before the water subsides and the roads to there are passable....It was 7 days post Floyd before I could get there and Matthew was worse than Floyd....If it's torn up so be it....Matthew raised Hell all day long....We're still here and safe tonight....Good thing I got 10,000 18650s and a couple of 6 bays....The dead battery pile is growing though....

I do believe we are all accounted for, and for that I am happy.

I hope it isn't too bad at the beach house ElDee, and your batteries hold up until power is restored.

I've barged my way into this little group, so I'm not sure who's from where, but I'm glad the head count is in good shape :)

Praying quick recoveries for those affected!
