I was that way till the last couple of years when garden is in season, then it goes out of whack then I go in every 2 wks to check and adjust as needed. The lab tech tells me that's common.

    Thanks for the effort.

That's the thing. We eat greens every night. Kale, broccoli, you name it. He does not have to even think about eating greens and we are thankful for that.

We've still got major flooding down East.....the last word we wanna hear is rain....I saw there is another system out in the ocean...Not really sure about the details though....

We got Mom too rehab last night @7:30.....There was some real dragazzery going on waiting on the hospital to finish the discharge....Pretty sure that's all due to billing the most possible...She's settled in well in a room with my best Unc's Mom....She seems to be doing well and in good spirits....I'm optomistic....Tonight Niece and I walked her up the hall quiet a ways...I was and remain worried she may fall though she did quiet well tonight...Cardiologist put on a moniter today....bluetooth to a smart phone....gotta change between moniter 1 and 2 when sleeping or awake...gotta change sheet in the phone when doing so....Blind/85 and a smart phone????? I told the nurse she best handle it if they want it handled....Little disappointed in that cardiologist...Anyway Mom is doing well and everything is in order to get her better....

Thanks for the well wished everyone !!!!!! Dee

Sounds really good, LD. Except the part of the cardiologist. If you have any doubts at all, fire his azz and hire a new one until you find one that you are comfortable with. I feel sure that is already your plan though.

When you get a chance, could you tell me how the roads are up your way? I have a friend that will be traveling through next week and he is wondering about the road conditions there. I think that he will mostly be on 95 though. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I AM GOING TO SEE A BILLION LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!! Just bought my tickets. They will be about 45 minutes away on November 7 :D

Here's the link to road closure NCDOT: Travel Information

There is a drop down "select by region" that will show the closure....Then center the area desired and hit the + button to zoom in....At that point you can click on the yellow diamond and it will give details about each closure...

Major roads such as 95 are listed at the top of this page in writing.....

Thanks again for the well wishes.....I'm pinned down atm waiting on a friend's Mom to drop a cake by....Needing to hit the JV football game tonight in support of Niece's cheer squad.....Between hurricanes and strokes I'm looking a little rough.....I'm gonna carry right on though....Who's got time for shaves and haircuts??????

    Thanks, LD!

Shave and haircuts....... Pffftttt...... no time for that.

We had such a hard time finding a place to get a decent haircut when we first moved here that my husband started cutting his own lol He still does and actually does a pretty good job at it. Not letting him come near me with the scissors though. HA!

Tracy, hang on and I will post the place to look for A Billion Lives. I was shocked to see that it is going to be so close to me.

    The Second Wave

People always ask "How can I help fight?"

I always responded: "We don't need money, we just need you to help get the word out."

Sadly, the launch showings above aren't going to be enough to wake up the media and politicians. We need more, or they will dismiss this message as a "niche film".

Thankfully, our supportive community is planning a second wave of theater showings and in the next couple days we have to demonstrate adequate demand for the movie (and our message) or they won't be approved by the theaters.

I hate to ask, but it's really important

In the US alone, there are about 70 screenings that can only happen if we get enough tickets reserved. Some only have a couple days left before the deadline so it can be shown before the US elections.

Click the map below to find one near you and buy some tickets.

    Give them to a smoker.
Give them to a loved one.
    Give them to your customers.
    Give them to your doctor.
    Give them to your media.
    Give them to your politicians.

The theater is a safe place for the community to learn. This is our best chance at making an impact.

Click here to see available US showings

There are about 30 more in the other three countries below. Please help spread the word about the showing near you, buy tickets, or organize a showing in your city if there isn't one.

Ask me if you need help.

We're only going to get one chance at this. The media is watching. The politicians are watching.

    Now's our chance.

    Potential United Kingdom Showings

Odeon Cinemas through Demand.Film is bringing you a special message from our team before each showing.

    Summary
    1. Buy tickets at the links above.
    2. Help organize a screening in a new city the US. Or bring it to a new city in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand by clicking here.
    3. Buy tickets throughout the entire US at Tugg, Laemmle (LA), or Cinepolis (NYC) theaters.
    4. Invite your neighbors and loved ones.

If we're going to win this battle, now's the time to help us make news. We're close, but need to get all these screenings approved.

    Thanks for fighting with us!

I found mine by clicking on those bubbles on the map above. Got my tickets through Tugg for $13 each which I feel is reasonable.
