Good morning everyone! Another brisk day in Sunny Syracuse though it sounds like it'll be a bit warmer the rest of the week.
The Therion BF made it to the FT Miami office yesterday, unfortunately China wanted to reconfirm the address for the replacement so nothing will ship until tomorrow (time zones). I'm looking forward to getting it back -- I really liked it for the brief time I used it.
The Geekvape Ammit showed in EMS' tracking as of a couple days ago, not sure when it'll actually get here. With EMS sometimes things go radio silent then they magically appear in the US

Hope you all have been keeping well. Been a little AWOL (werk is a little bizzy at the moment) Weather has been a roller coaster here, too. Sub-zero temps a couple of days ago, and into the 40s for Christmas....
If I don't swing back through soon enough, just want to wish you all a very Blessed Christmas. If all goes as planned, will be traveling this weekend to visit family. Not much time off work, and my "Insanity Season" has begun. About six weeks of cra-cra, and then I'll be "back to normal"

On the fridge front I caught Holy Hades about the ice and water through the door....I just couldn't wrap my head around the ice being in a drawer inside another drawer under the fridge....pull one....pull another....there's the ice.... Well anyways I dug into that and found the ice maker was the old tried and true design....said very reliable....OK....No filter either...OK.....My Whirlpool's ice maker....Worked until the warranty was up and no more....Needs complete replacement and it's Hella expensive....OK.....So I got Mom the Kenmore Elite....It's an LG....Ice in the bottom....Single door up top and stainless....Let's hope my fridge woes are just about over....Delivery is tomorrow so today I installed a new recept in the wall that has a ground....Recept was OG 1953 model with no ground and had a wonky adapter that was holding some HEAT!! There still isn't a ground in the system as there are only two wires but at least we lost the adapter....OK.....Those wires were kinda old....Let's all hope the house doesn't burn on down....Pretty sure it won't as I played out that deal in my usual fashion....I've worked on that old fridge so much I'm gonna kind of hate to see it go....
Scored a nice payday in the body shop today....Jeep Compass verses Mr. Deer with the big horns.....Gonna check tomorrow on some doors for it and if they aren't worthy then it's doors from a can!! I'll bondo dem beeches!!! Gonna be a nice addition to the Tacoma funds....Ya'll want a challenge??? Try and find 2001~2004 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 in good shape with a price that doesn't make your eyes bleed.....I'd prefer silver while you're at it....or black....I got this pic in my head of a silver one with a Raider decal in the lower right rear window....I got the decal already in the archives....14 years since my Raiders were in the post season....We're in so....STOKED!!!! Last won 13 games in 1976...I was a 16 year old Raider back then....One more and we're at 13 but we're aiming for 14....Ya'll stay warm....think of ole Dee while I'm out in that cold junkyard scrounging doors up......Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah...Katie refuses to have an ice maker at all, so I still use ice trays in the freezer
Lol! I've had the tubing for those ice makers spring a leak a couple of times.... first time it left a bunch of water on the floor of the basement before I even noticed it happened, and the second time I thought it was an old pipe to the radiator leaking. It was about ten or twelve years old before doing so, but what a pain in the .... they can be when it does happen! Just a heads up!
Did a bunch of wrapping today with my moms help. It was fun! I put the Christmas music station on the tv to listen to while doing so. We reminisced about christmases past and how much we miss our loved ones who've gone before us and laughed about the good times spent with them. Like I said, it was nice! I love my Mama! <3
Some work from home tomorrow on the agenda and hopefully some more wrapping.

That's why Katie won't have another ice maker, the one and only time she had one, it sprung a leak. I don't really mind using the ice trays tho, I only use it in my water glass.
One month post T2 Diabetes dx. With diet, my walking, and the Metformin, I've gone from fasting BG of almost 400 down to hovering just above 200. I need to get that down at least another 100, I expect my Dr will up the Metformin dosage when I see him Friday. Weighed 175 at last Dr visit, yesterday I weighed 165

When paying for the fridge the guy asked for my phone number....Mom jumped in and gave them hers....I then gave him mine and told him that was the one to call prior to delivery....Anyone wanna guess what number they were calling??????? Finally at 2pm I called and by 3:30 it was in the kitchen.....Quick trip to the local hardware and by 5 or so I had water in the ice maker....There was no time left for the junkyard....Went solo to the local Mexican joint for a meal...Stopped by Cuzz's on the return....Was talking with him when the neighbor called....His daughter had jumped a masked intruder when she pulled up in his yard....the intruder ran....straight towards my house....She said the intruder went into the woods....there's a creek and briars aplenty....I'll put my tracking skills to work in the daylight and see what I can find....Spike was home alone and trust there would be a grave digging and hymn singing had that cat messed with my dog....So I was out looking around most of the evening and betting my sinuses will be letting me know about it tomorrow....Old neighbor has a JD Gator and JD riding mower in plain sight of the road...My bet is they were lining up some thievery....Almost 3am now and I'm gonna patrol the area one more time before I hit the rack.....
