The delayed family Christmas party was today. Wayne is still doing well but has decided to sell all his logging equipment. Being paralyzed the past several years he hasn't been able to do it all alone like he used to. He can't find help that will take care of the equipment like he does and he's just tired of repairs.Getting just tired of logging altogether I think. Has plans to work out of his garage.

That is a shame Fran; I'm sorry to hear it. Hopefully Wayne likes working out of his garage and can leave the stress behind.

What a day!!!! A full day of cleaning up and putting away all things Christmas as well as having New Years dinner. I'm pooped!
Back to school for maddie tomorrow already.
    Have a good night all!

I don't think there is anyone here who would argue that no home improvement project goes as planned...no matter how simple it should be. Finally talked Katie into letting me replace the old ducted range hood that no longer works. Got the new one before Xmas, my handyman came to install it today. Raise your hand if you knew that it's standard for the electrical connections on range hoods to be located on the right side. Yup, our old one was wired on the left side! The wiring coming through the wall is too short, with no excess to pull it far enough to reach a right side connection. So to finish the job, I have to get our electrician out here to move the wires since my handyman is not licensed :censored:

He will be coming back tomorrow to install safety rails in the walls around our tub for Katie tho. What could possibly go wrong there?!

I can tell you what happened when we tried to install safety rails for my mom...yep! You guessed it. We didn't have studs where the rails needed to go.
