Well I'm still worried all the tile will fall off the wall LOL! This old house is like living in an episode of "This Old House" without Bob Vila to help!

^^^^oh I feel ya there!^^^^
I recaulked my tub a few years ago and when I pulled the old caulk out, the row of tiles fell like dominoes! :(

Our electrician was able to get us rewired today, so all jobs completed. Range hood, bath tub safety rail, and had the electrician punch through one of my bedroom walls to install an outlet on the stairway wall for a night light :)

The night light was a "light bulb" moment for me, a last minute bright idea...and totally worth it! It's just above the hand rail and at the halfway point on the stairs. Katie loves not having to fumble in the dark looking for the overhead light switch, and so do I.

The range hood has a bright and dim setting on it's light, so serves as the downstairs night light on dim. I'll probably pick up another LED night light tho, the range hood is incandescent bulb only.

Enjoy the new range hood !!!

All the dust in the shop the last few days caught up to me this morning....Sinus headache of epic proportions.....even a cold sweat....Trust I wear a mask when sanding....Gonna hit the paint store tomorrow and snag a bodyman respirator.....Gonna drag the fans out and try and get that dust moving out through the paint exhaust fan....Winter in a body shop can be Hell....

Got the funds in for a trip to RTS....1.5 mg/ml since forever now....Kayfuns and OG Crown tanks running fine....Crown 2 has sheety coils....I got a boat load and gonna trash them....I've been looking at mods....tanks.....etc.....I'm bored where I'm at and debating just quitting again....

ElDee,

I hope you're feeling better soon! Winter in body shops are indeed hell. Exhaust the dust and fumes, but it takes the heat along with it!

This griffin is giving me fits lately too. Would love to find something else as well that isn't a pita!

Back to the grind today. Hope I remember how (lol) it's been a long break.

Morning folks :)

Dee, hope that sinus headache goes away soon! I saw your FB pic of the body work in progress. I'm still happy as a pig in poop with my Crowns. Your Crown 2, is that the one with the "v" looking connection on the bottom? If you don't mind tossing 'em my way, I've been thiking about trying a Crown 2.

Thanks all, just that one change makes the kitchen look brighter!

Trust me the Crown 2 isn't worth the trouble...I see where Crown has a new tank out and betting that's the one with the V....I gotta check more into it....Looked a little whacky with all the pieces but I believe it airs from the top so no leaks.....not that I've seen any Crown leak....I also saw a new Artic.....I know those old ones were heavy on the vapor....

Everybody is a comedian day.....Yeah I dug up in the 3M catalog looking at respirators....3M 6503 is the newest bodyman respirator.....silicone face seal....99.9% effective...So I trot to the store to get one and they still got the sheet that I know don't work worth a damn and I already got....6503 is also for a large size and all they got in the old styles are mediums....Ain't a damn thing about me medium....I wear an 8 1/4 hat....Got into it pretty good with my paint rep and guilted him into calling my old friend the 3M rep whom also didn't know sheet about the new respirator....I got one coming from the Bay...Paint dust and bondo dust are not safe to breathe....not for the short or long haul....I'll let you girls know what the deal is with the respirator....It comes without filters but takes the pink ones long available....There are some "easy breathers" in white but there were 2 different ones and neither specifically said bondo dust...I got pinks and the mask was only $22....

Then coming outta the bank I see a guy....well....they say keep your enemies close....He wants the roofs on 3 old work vans painted for cheap....Peeling and rusty....Can't you just spray something on them????? It's strip/tape/prime/sand/wash/tape/paint....Told him I'm hang it up if that's all I could get to do....he better get Maaco........The shop where I started sweeping the floor had a sign....Good work ain't cheap.....Cheap work ain't good.....

Now to top everything off it's gonna snow and it might be alot....I'm gonna make damn sure I got bread and propane.....maybe diesel for the Dodge....Likely the last game of the year for my Raiders Saturday.....our gunslinger broke his damn leg....I'll be glad to stay in and watch the game snow be damned...Likely I'll be watching way more than just a game before it melts....

Glad you found the respirator you need, pink filters and all. And if your frienemy just wants something sprayed on it, he can go buy a couple of cans of spray paint at the Wally Wurld!!

The weather folks can't make up their minds here...snow, no snow, maybe just a dusting. Hell, I can do that job and be just as accurate :D

We are forecast from 0~16 inches....They covering all the bases....

Glad it's not cancer Fran....Just another reason why I spent a couple of hours researching the respirators....Couple decades back I read on the dangers of cutting with abrasive discs....fibers displaced by cutting have little hooks....once in the lungs that's where they stay....brake dust is the same plus contains asbestos....I see people using those discs all the time with no protection....I'm also looking at a saw that cuts metal with a carbide steel blade....cleaner cut and cleaner air.....I had a dear Uncle who was a mechanic....died a horrible death from mesotheleoma....brake dust...I got a lot of everybody else uses this....why you worried about a respirator....I'm even debating going one step further and getting a supplied air system....Naysayers can stay with the herd.....Really hoping the silicone respirator will seal to my face as intended and others haven't...We'll see.....
