Thank you! Dr appt went better than expected. He did up my dose of Januvia, but I have cut my A1c from 13.4 at initial dx to 6.9 today. A1c is a blood test that shows a "snapshot" of glucose control over a 3 month period.

13.4 = average fasting blood sugar of 380 (way above the danger zone)
6.9 = average FBS of 150
for comparison, non diabetic...
5.0 or below = 80-100 FBS

I have an appt with a retina specialist Ophthalmologist on the 20th to make sure my peepers are not damaged.

Staying bizzy on the work front, a quick assessment on a spec for a job.

It looks like our latest couple days of warmth will go bye-bye, another brisk weekend. We've has some 50s, weekend highs will be in the teens :D Today they're talking high winds, gusts in the 60s, even 70s towards Buffalo; maybe we could tie a little tarp on Maggie pup and have her play flying squirrel :D

I've developed a taste for Ghirardelli Midnight Reverie chocolate. It's an 86% cacao, non-dutch processed chockie. Pretty low sugar, high in flavonoids (compounds that' are good for you). Just a couple squares total per day (try doing that as a snack a bit before eating , to slightly nudge down appetite).

I got a little sun burned today and calling for snow Saturday night....What the ????????????

The Flaming Mug in Fayetteville NC was one of the premier clubs on the East Coast back in the day...We had all the good bands drop in...Closed in 97....We had a homecoming Sunday...Almost a thousand in the door during the day....I went about 9pm and found my old parking spot open....Just crossing the street was like walking back 25 years....After the amazing turnout there are now plans to make it an annual event....It was good therapy that I didn't even know I needed...

Old boy from the bay who shipped me the wrong stuff has now lied twice about reshipping....I'm giving him tomorrow and then it's the paypal police and a scathing review....Got my brake kit and new exhaust for the Taco and plan on an install when the temps drop....hey it's warm for the next couple of days then cold for a few....Hoping the next time it warms up it stays that way...

Sure hate that you got a bum deal on ebay. It'll get worked out, but he still wasted your time and energy. Glad your "therapy" went well, sounds like a great evening.

Morning folks! Weather can't decide if we're gonna get snow or if it bypasses us tonight and tomorrow. It's wicked windy out there right now.

I ordered two gallons of Swan 99.9% isoprophyl.....Got two gallons of HumCo 70%.....Took @3 days shipping...Was told reshipped on the day of arrival...No show after 4 days and was told it shipped Friday...End of today will be 4 business days and still no 99%....People like that need to be exposed.....It's a major pain and just what the Hades am I gonna do with 2 gallons of 70%...I'd gladly return it but not on my dime....

Locally no Boost stores had the new {or old} hotspot so I ordered one....They use FedX....I don't know about where you live but here FedX is the slowest option possible and they proved it yet again this time....The old hotspot started going pretty good before the new one arrived but still not 100%...I'd suspected a cell tower issue and still suspect that....Anyways the new hotspot is running fine so GOOD!!!!!!!

So far the new to me Tacoma is a go....No surprises so far....Some muffler shop cut the exhaust behind the muffler and added two pipes that exit under the rear bumper old school style....Originally it exited behind the right rear tire....My biggest issue other than the hideous chrome tips is the fact it's readily visible from the side of the truck as those two pipes are where no pipes were intended to be....They're up there tight against the frame but still...The new system should rectify all that....It's gonna take a while but eventually I'll get everything up to my standards....

Hi all!

realflavors is running a special if anyone wants to try some of their super concentrated flavorings (the ones that list just under $7 for an ounce). Pick two of them and enter coupon code samplesc (lower case). Thatzeroes the cost, so It's just a bit over $4 shipping (pick the USPS option). You can do this 3x, end up with 6 1ounce bottles for under $12..50 total. There's a thread on their flavorings here, plus ones on the-forum-that-shall-not-be-named and on an eliquid recipe site. I went for Apple Pie, baklava, strawberry, yumberry, bread pudding, and vanilla custard :D

Tomorrow's an off Friday, DW and I will see a ballet downtown tomorrow night (Snow White, fun stuff). The weekend's looking frosty (single digits Sat and Sun),time to rozt kawvee and curl up with the pooches.

Yes, 2 per order, each order end up just 4-and-change shipping.

-they need to be the super concentrated versions, ones that list near $7

-there are three flags for each flavor, telling whether they have any diketones. For me only, I'm okay with a yellow flash with green stripe (compounds present but at low levels), would skip yellow with a red stripe
