Well I finally got after those trees....I'm giving the wood to a buddy who runs a small garage....Got limbs stacked too the Moon....Gonna be an epic fire for sure....Trust that chainsaw is working me harder than I like....

Another fine day in CNY. The coffee beans I picked up this last week are interesting. The tasting notes are chocolate and vanilla, and that seems right; an early pot has chocolate in the inital drink, with vanilla at the finish

Fran I still got the part of the first tree used for firewood to cut up and it's sitting across a creek...creek or Mom's house were the only options and I had to drop the first tree across the creek also....Pain for sure....Then I got a hurricane ravaged half rotten tree that's pretty big but 99% of the limbs are already gone....then a Gum Tree that has some height but not to many limbs....then there's two Maples that sprung up and they get so massive down in the creek bottom I'm gonna pop them while there....So there's a couple/three days of wood cutting/limb and firewood hauling ahead.....Who needs a gym when you have a chainsaw?????

Ah, first day of spring here today, with 2 nor’easters colliding starting later today/early evening and into tomorrow evening. At times 1-3” per hour is in the forecast.

We've been lucky in CNY. In the midst of a mostly dry, though brisk, spell. Plenty of precipp earlier in the month.
One nice thing about March snow....it doesn’t hang around long!
Last storm was not nearly as bad as forecasted. Wondering if we can get as lucky as last time?
Predictions all over the place...3-5, 4-8, 8-10, 12-18. Guess we will find out soon enough.
I think middle dd is coming home to sit this one out. They got a lot more last storm than we did and she was going stir crazy at school.
Hoping to keep power! (Portable generator ready to go and a brand new grill for cooking if necessary) But I still hope to not have to use them!

Sitting right on the edge of the snow line....I've seen many on the FB say it was snowing but only rain here....I'm good with that....
Got a good start on cutting the trees that needed to come down...Got a Magnolia that's pretty dang impressive added too the list....It sits on the edge of my driveway and I tried to cut it way back but Mom wanted it left alone...Now she's tired of the continual mess it makes....There's another Magnolia up by her house she also wants done away with but that will have to wait....Couple of days after this weather clears I should have the trees gone....years back I added fill to one side of Mom's yard when I put in the now clogged septic line....then I added fill on the other side when I built my shop and added my driveway....Now there's a pretty big hole between the fill areas....I've got five loads of fill to move in with the Kubota to try and even out the hole and then I'm putting that ding dang septic line in....Way past tired of that hanging over my head....
