It's been many a moon since I've seen the name Sennheiser....Back when I was running sound I had a pair...They were some big old muffs but the quality was definitely there...

Dang old forum notifications isn't working for me....I was 2 pages behind and feeling deserted here.....

The weather came and went....It's wet but I managed to get 3 of the 4 trees gone today....Looking forward to getting rid of all the firewood here in a couple of days....When I built my shop I had to fill under it quiet a bit to level things....then I added a 24 inch pipe in the creek and a driveway beside the shop....There's a pretty big low spot where the trees were and I gotta spend a couple of days using the fill dirt I've accumulated to fill that....I'm gonna be short on fill but I can work on it as I get more....Pretty soon I'm adding that drain line and tying up this project...

Garter snakes I'm used to -- one or two like to soak up warmth at our place, will crawl in under the biico door headed to the basement :)

No poisonous snakes on our property, DW knows that, isn't bothered by any of the random critters around.

We had our second stovepipe bird of the season yesterday. From DW's description it sounds like this one was a sparrow. The bird visits only happen early in the season. I know I could get rid of that by putting screen around the pipe, but prefer it open so there's no buildup of creosote on the mesh.

Back in the day I'd parked my 4-wheeler down by the creek...Jumped on to go for a ride and there was a Garter Snake sleeping on the handlebars....Things musta went black as next thing I know I'm 10 feet from the 4-wheeler and no recollection of how I got there....

One of yesterday's trees had been ravaged by many hurricanes....it sat creekside near the corner of the property...Hollow on the inside....I dropped it and sawed it up promptly dulling the saw big time....Just as I was going to cut the stump....SNAKE!!!!!!!! This one was a Black Snake of about 20 inches....Just a baby....Recent temps had him moving slow so I picked him up and upgraded his accommodations...Had it been a Copperhead I'd probably be in the hospital about now....

Whether pollen/cold temp/breathing sawdust I'm got a small sinus headache....Gotta look at a potential F 150 purchase for a friend at 1:30 and then I'm getting that last tree down/limbs on the now monstrous pile and the rest sawed up for firewood...dang old saw chain has seen better days and when this tree goes so does the chain....I got a new one in the box and gonna go and get another since I keep a spare sharp at all times...Gonna dope up the saw gas for the last tree because I plan on the saw sitting a while....

LoL Dee! I'm pretty ok with other critters, spiders and such...but I'm all girl when it comes to snakes!

Talk about pollen and allergies...I had forgotten what color my car is until I washed it yesterday. In Ct, the yellow pollen would rinse off in a good rain, but here it's sticky and takes some effort to clean off.

Yeah I noticed the Tacoma had a nice coat of pollen today....That sticky pollen comes from the mighty Southern Yellow Pine....It's only beginning......

All the trees are cut and all the limbs are piled up....Still gotta haul all the firewood too a neighbor....I'm gonna clean the chainsaw and store that beech for a while....a good while....Beat down....bloody and bruised....hands feeling a little arthritic....It will pass
