After mucking about a bit, I ended up picking up a pair of Trekz Air headphones for DW. The best price right now is at Best buy. The earlier Titanium cost 1/3 less now, but the Air won for wearing comfort and a little boost in audio quality. (Sound quality isn't as good as my better headphones, based on my quick check, but it's plenty good enough for out and about listening)

Most important, DW seems to like them [emoji5] She enjoyed my AKG N60 NC headphones on our vacation flights, but day to day she likes to be able to hear what's going on around her. With moderately long hair the Air are invisible to others.

Anywho, I've got them paired to her phone and mp3 player, we'll see how it goes after a few days (Best buy has a 15 day return policy).

Mark I'm more than pleased with the Titanium. I wear them a lot while out shopping. Last Friday night Mrs Wharf was sleeping and I wore them watching a movie with Dolby Digital. I was surprised me how much separation I got with them, it was really good.

For myself the Titanium would be fine. For DW the added comfort factor is the real winner. She's picking it up quickly, apparently the controls are improved a bit over the titanium; anything that makes it easier is a plus [emoji5]


Thanks for the lead on these - I do believe she'll get a lot of use out of them.
