Well I got that cart touched up so you can't even tell it....Obviously BXpanded uses Rustoleum Hammered Silver...Left it to dry overnight....My previous rant on the wood now includes the big stuff...Scored 2 2X12X8 treated for a couple of stair treads...Looking at the end grain I can tell 12 measurement took damn near all the tree's width...The grain is loose and gets rather wide on the outside...The lumber was also sopping wet and is inside drying a bit now....Direct contact with the treatment chemicals....wet wood does not like being cut with a skillsaw and lastly it shrinks as it dries...Plus the fact I looked at 25 to get 2....Busted again for picking through lumber....The dude said they always gotta go behind me and straighten things out....Even at 8 foot those boys were heavy as Hades so I just slid the unwanted over too the 2X10 pile....17 dollars a pop so damn straight I'm picking what I want....Guessing I got a Lowes employee as an enemy as I wasn't to kind when he told me no picking take what's on top...He didn't push it any farther and I already had my 2 boards anyways...I spend a lot of money there and he damn sure didn't offer any help with those heavy freekin' boards....they'll be treads here in a few........Past that I've been eyeballing a couple three more deck boards that are a little hardware heavy at the joints....Originally nailed and now nailed and screwed....I'll take measurements and replace those before pressure washing the whole deal....May buy me a year extra or so before I gotta maintain the deck again....

Yeah they always beech about picking thru the lumber at Lowes and Home Depot. When I had Katie's deck and pergola built, Tyler ordered from a local lumber yard that all the builders use. We let the lumber sit and dry a couple of weeks and Tyler made the yard come and pick up/replace a couple of deck boards that were not to his standards. Sure wish I coulda hitched onto that pergola and moved it with me!

Meeting went really well, got all the mortgage paperwork signed and started. My loan officer is the manager of Gateway Mortgage Group here in Sumter, and they keep their loans in house so she knows what will fly before she sends it to the underwriter. She said today that everything looks good and she doesn't expect any problems. Hoping to close within 30 days, but really happy to be moving into "my" house first of next week

Home owner's insurance, electricity, water, and internet all lined up. Talked to Carlos (the owner/seller) and will meet him 9am Saturday to sign a lease for this first month while we wait for closing. I have to show the lease agreement to the utility companies . Otherwise, I think I'll be able to move in Monday...or Tuesday if they don't get the water and lights on Monday

Finally got all the bad wood replaced on Mom's deck yesterday...With a little time left before dark I decide to edge Mom's driveway...In the 90s* with humidity that is unbelievable....plus dead in the sun...Damn near passed out when I bent over to pick up a shovel....Sweat was pouring...It was swelter city but I got it done with nearly a wheelbarrow full of centipede off the concrete...I'm keeping that wet and sprigging it here and there...Deck is now almost ready for stain as it got the big pressure wash today...Mom when she still could painted the front porch railing...The pressure washer peeled a good portion of that due to it not being primed before paint...So gotta get some paint stripper and get the rest of that off...Then just clean some tree seeds out of a few deck gaps and I'm off for the stain...Stripping paint though.....Uggghhhh... Dang old pressure washer checked out good a month ago....Wouldn't build pressure today and I almost went for the hose to rinse off the Clorox...Tried it again and got pressure....It's on it's last leg though.....

We are just back from vacation. It was a different one this year in that my ex hubs was arrested the same day we left.
Seems he and his on again off again squeeze like to drink and put hands on each other. Latest altercation was reported.
So my girls spent most of the time worried sick about their dad and calling lawyers etc. Sad situation. And I could seriously kick his azz!

I feel bad for them and Bo. Poor guy works his tail off and this was the last of vacation days for him....although the timing of it all wasn’t planned by anyone, it still couldn’t have been worse timing. It also rained two nights of the three. Ick! I want a do over!!
I might see if he and I can just go away for a weekend together before years end. We do not get nearly enough chances for alone time....and heck, we are still newlyweds! Haha

That whole pass out thing happens when I'm bent way over and rise as normal....maybe to fast....heat doesn't help....Now the wait is on for the deck to dry....The weather situation isn't gonna help that going forward...I gotta secure the stain/brushes/rollers/etc....Gonna try and score a $$100 coupon for the Northern tools....been thinking the new pressure washer may strip the paint from the front porch railing...My old one is rated at 2000psi and the new one will be 4000psi...Any more white paint flying off without caustic chemicals is a big plus plus...Then there's the back of Mom's house green with algae and you dang sure don't wanna see the back side of my house....Like when I got the mack daddy mower it cut mowing time from 9 hours to around 3 more pressure equals faster cleaning....No use putting the purchase off.....Now if Unk or Cuzzo has a coupon...I spend more at Northern than Unk or Cuzzo combined and those bass turds don't mail coupons to me.....

Dang old alcohol/domestic violence/jail.....Sorry ya'll gotta deal with that...In my time I've seen a lot of peeps do stupid sheet when drinking....Until I got a firm grasp on the alcohol I did stupid sheet myself....I always observe and learn though and I'm not a young buck anymore.....dang old class reunion is next Saturday night...I suspect I'll feel pretty awesome compared with the how the time passed has effected some classmates....

Yep ElDee, I had my share of stupid as well in my younger days. Those are the key words here, younger days. Some of us grow up while others just continue to make bad choices no matter the consequences to themselves or those close to them. Makes me want to go jersey on him, ain’t gonna lie!
