Those flowers look like the plant I got my daughter except hers are white. She has to put one ice cube in the planter every day. She said the one she has are very hard to maintain and she's so proud of herself because she's done good for 3 mo..

Won't know the results of my ultrasound for awhile but they checked everything that's under the hood in my engine compartment.

So a couple days ago I get a bill in the mail and I'm confused. It's on my car and has the coordinance so I put them in and find it's close to the court house. I figured they did catch me not paying the parking thing. Almost paid it but the coordinance was off a couple blocks. So I called and after waiting on hold for almost 2o min. I tell this lady I have no reason to be in that area. So she checks and says I'm looking at the photo and reads the licence # and it's mine. It's for going over the I-520 bridge. I tell her I haven't been in Seattle for about 30 yrs. She finally found the mistake. It was an Ohio licence not a WA. licence. She says the computer errors once in a great while but not very often. Glad I called on that. I almost paid it. She didn't know why the coordinance was wrong either.

The nurse says the graft is looking okay as of today, though it's just been a week, so honestly it looks pretty ugly [emoji3]

Another week until I'll be cleared for light exercise (my exercycle will think I've abandoned it, and I'll have to talk DW through winter prepping camp - gotta turn off the water in the next few days, winterize). 2 more weeks until I can get it wet (no full shower until then - cueball hair style is starting to sound good [emoji3])

Next checkup in 4 weeks. If things are looking good they'll pull the invisible sutures then. Until then my job is keeping it coated with bacitracin and a bandage (basically the idea is to heal it from the inside out, keep ointment on the outside so it doesn't form a scab).

Sounds like your going to eating chicken for awhile,Bov:) That would be ok with me. I like chicken.

Fran, I will put half of it in the freezer and use the other half for lunches, shredded for tossing into dinners, etc. Buying the big packages of boneless breasts I get it for $1.69lb. Can't eve buy lunch meat that cheap :)

That winning Mega Millions ticket sold in South Carolina wasn't mine

I have a feeling I'll be trying to work in the crawl space in the near future. Pulled the access door to the plumbing for the tub and shower to see if there were water valves installed, and this big azz hole straight into the crawl space is what I found. No wonder my bathroom floor and tub/shower is cold ... a witch's...udder!! Ideas, suggestions? As far as I can tell without going under the house, the hole was cut to replace the drain pipe, and doesn't extend beyond the drain more than a couple of inches.

I'd cut plywood and screw it in from underneath....I'd make a pattern from paper and just cut out where the pipe goes through....then a little bit of that spray foam to seal everything up....Little duct tape where you can't get plywood will support the foam until it dries....

MFS came through....They're 125 miles away in Charlotte....My thinking is the USPS service between here and there is lacking....I didn't check tracking after receiving but did when the package was out for delivery and it still hadn't updated from a label being created.....

Got the meeting with the insurance adjustor done...he seems nice and I think he will do me OK....He'd better or Five gets his phone number.....Time will tell....Spent the remainder of the day picking up pine cones/limbs and had one Hell of a fire to close the day....Did a little extra siliconing on the storage building roof as well...It should be well sealed now....I'm gonna be past busy for the foreseeable future....

Last week I cooked two pork tenderloins/a big pack of thin cut pork chops/2 packs Beer-n-Brats....Still got a tenderloin left....I've eaten many salads and enough red delicious apples to fill the bed of the truck....Gotta make an apple run soon.....

I'm glad it's healing good Mark. I know about invisible stitches. The ones in my cornea that was done almost 10 yrs. ago he just pulled out. I didn't even know they were there. I still put salve in it every night. Me and you are keeping the salve business.
Forgot to click the post button.

Bo just stuff insulation down there. That'll help it stay warm.

El Dee already covered it, but since I wrote this up I'll post it [emoji3]

Is there any framing (2x boards) at the outside edge of the cutout in the osb? Not a must-have, but it makes things easier.

This is what I've done, at both our home and camp:

Get a little piece of plywood that's maybe 3" wider and taller than the full U cutout area.

Drill a hole in the plywood that's maybe 1/2" larger diameter than the width of the pipe where it goes through the osb (Some dollar stores, like Real Deals, may have hole saw bits, otherwise maybe go for harbor freight, get a set of these using the 20% off coupon they always have available: 3/4 In - 5 In Carbon Steel Hole Saw Set 18 Pc) A jigsaw can also be used, after drilling a pilot hole to get the blade through.

Cut the plywood, going through the middle of the hole you drilled, using a circular saw. If there's enough room to jigger the upper piece in, go for a horizontal cut, otherwise you'll have to go with vertical.

Shove the pieces into place, attach each piece with 4 - 5 screws into the osb.

Fill the gap between the hole in the plywood and the pvc pipe with some steel wool (to keep mice out).

Optional: caulk the joint between the two pieces of plywood, and/or along the outside edge of the patch.

Once the hole is patched, your choice if you want to add a little insulation. In your climate, likely not necessary once the hole had been patched.

Alternate, if there's only a couple inches from the top of the piece of pvc to the top of the cutout:

Put in a couple inch piece of plywood horizontally, filling the top part of the hole.

Put in a vertical piece, overlapping the first one, fill the right side of the hole.

If the left side space is small, stuff with steel wool, else do another vertical piece (on the left), then stuff everything with steel wool,

(The steel wool will also provide a support for the spray foam El Dee mentioned)

I'm glad you're healing up well, Mark!

And happy to know the insurance guy was a decent fella, Dee!

Thank you all for the suggestions, pretty much what I was thinking but I would have forgotten about using steel wool! Jigsaw and baby skill saw (4"ish blade) I have, as well as a drill. For now I covered the hole with an old waterproof mattress pad, and then stuffed a moving blanket behind the water inlets and between them and the access door which is in my linen closet. Not that I needed to use a waterproof pad, but it was what I had handy that I don't mind tossing in the trash after the hole is fixed. Sure would be nice to insulate the tub for nice hot baths in cold weather. The tub is on the north outer wall of the house.

That looked like it may be cement backer board used mostly under tile...If that's the case and there is no plywood underneath the backer you'll have to attach the plywood with glue instead of screws...No biggie...You'll need to measure and cut a couple of stiff knees to keep the plywood pressed in place...Stiff knee should be about an inch longer than the measurement between the ground and plywood when it's in place under the tub...then just wedge it in there until the glue dries...I use Power Grab glue and it may hold without a stiff knee....a gamble though....Great Stuff foam in the red can....I'd look around for some other areas where you could use the rest of the foam cause once it sits a while it won't come out of the can....A little of that foam goes a long way so don't over apply....
Hairstylist had 100% cotton....I did get an appointment for tomorrow though...Hit the Sally and got a lifetime(if I live too 300) supply of Cellucotten 100% Rayon...I'd watched some videos and saw where a 3mm coil used 1/2 the Rayon....the Wotofo wicks are 6mm and that's why I figured the whole piece of Rayon would fit....I never did find the end of the Rayon in the box so I just grabbed a piece out....There was a little sliver kinda loose so I pulled that off....I got the whole piece of Rayon in with little issue and now I'm wishing I hadn't pulled off the sliver....A whole piece will fit...I cut the Wotofo angle and fluffed and combed a complete circle when viewed from the side of the deck....Cut the top 1/2 circle of the wick dead off and then trimmed a good bit from both sides. @ 4MLs down now and so far no issue....No cotton taste that I'm pretty sure I'm accustomed to....Got the Lemon Donut in there...Gonna pull the cap tomorrow and get a look see after its been running a while....Next rewick I will put the whole piece in....Personally I'll run that wick till the cows come home.....Rayon doesn't burn and the people using it stated much longer run time....yeah.....I'll abuse that for sure....

Fran, that was my thought too...stuff some insulation as far as I can reach.

Watched several vids last night about this kind of repair and found one where they used flashing, glued and screwed. Easier to cut for damn sure, and I can probably do that from the top side. Insulation on the top side as well.

Many thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely use them if the flashing doesn't do the trick.

Dee about a year ago Mark sent me some Rayon with some fresh roasted coffee. I had forgot about it until Mark brought it up last week. I threw some rayon in and fired it up and it works great... I will say the Profile has the best cloud blowing flavor RDA I've had..... Oh and it's TGIF !!!
