The days are getting longer its light until 5 pm now WOOT! and soon it will hit the freezing temp i just know it. Really for the most part the hard winter is pretty much over here. Was not too bad a winter. Sure we will get snow but the really cold stuff is almost gone.

OTR don't jinx us by saying the coldest weather is almost gone!!! I surely hope you're right though...The last few days have been a few degrees less than normal but after the last few weeks it's dang sure manageable....
Checked out my plumbing roof vents today...The pipes will have to be extended for the new style covers to play...Had everything I needed but daylight to get the job done...If the rain gets here first I'll whip a bucket over the leaky vent...

Good morning . Feb. is usually our coldest month too Fran. Hope the worst is over for you OTR. I can't wait for DST myself. Love those long evenings.
Good morning, all. I am feeling a bit better but still not up to snuff. Wuzz, I agree. The shorter days are the worst part of Winter IMO

My GD gets sworn in to the State Police today. Another physical endurance test tomorrow and off to the Police academy Feb 7th.She'll be in the marine patrol unit.
I finally finished stripping the floor in the bathroom. This will be the last time I use ammonia for wax stripping...it's cheap, but wicked on the lungs and sinuses

Yikes. It makes my nose, throat and lungs burn just reading about it. You will be tasting ammonia for days most likely
Ya they're saying $5.00 gal. is on the way. Our wonderful government likes to raise taxes while things are cheap. Then when the prices return to normal the tax is huge. Stinkies are only around a dollar a pack and the rest of the $8.00 a pack is taxes etc. Now they're moving to tax ecig stuff way up there too.
Don't get me wrong is will still be cold zero or so for a few months, but most of the hard -10,-20 degree days are over. It's not uncommon for us to see a few weeks where is does not hit 32 degrees. Not sure it still hit freezing we have 1in of ice every where in the driveways and parking lots (so it rained and must have been over 32 for a few hours hehe. The sun is winning the days are getting longer, i still have pellets left, we do tend too get more snow. Winters are just not what they were 20 or 30 years ago.
Fran Very cool and congratz for your GD. Have a good friend that's a Trooper and it's not an easy gig you have to respect that.
