Beautiful Baldwinsville (CNY)
A lazy day for dw and me.

We brought the 3 stooges to camp, set up a sun shade over half the dog pen. The lower part of the pen had some standing water due to the flooding, but the North side was pretty dry so they just hung out and snoozed.

I did some odds and ends, then took the raft/boat out for a bit. After that it was grilling time, then DW joined me for a second boat run along the North edge of the lake. We both like the trolling motor, but the gas engine runs well, made for a pleasant hour of checking out the scenery. A good day [emoji3]

Weather was good here....I burned a huge pile of azaleas that I'd cut after Mom started the job and couldn't finish it....I cut a couple/three more azaleas down on my own...They'll come back out....I think Mom may have gotten a little too hot doing that...It's hot as Hades and humid so at 88 she trims back azaleas....Doubtful she will ever learn...Tripped going down the stairs last week and broke the handle outta my car wash brush....10,000 times she's been told that brush is car wash only....Her MO has always been the Hell with what you say....Glad I'm not making trips too the hospital as that could've ended much differently.....

Heading too the bank for a little tractor payment action here in a few...Loading up and heading too the beach for an attempt at getting that flooring down after....I don't ECF on my phone so I'll be away a few days...

I know you got your hands full just with watching out for your Mom, Dee. I remember when Katie used to do things like that!

Had another thunderstorm sneak up on us last night that brought down a big chunk of dead limb from my sweet gum tree in front of the house. No damage, but scared the chit outa me when I heard it hit the sidewalk. I have a love/hate relationship with that tree and it's hateful spiked gumballs that fall in the front yard...but it's the only shade I have on the west side of the house.

Not a fan of a Sweet Gum Tree on any level.....

Just whirled back in....got my vinyl laminate down.....burned a good size pile of yard debris and the sub-floor I cut out....hauled some of the tools no longer needed back home....Now I gotta trim around the new floor and add or restore the old trim I removed....then paint....Between regular bicycle rides and all the getting down on the floor and then up my legs have been feeling it for months....Gotta roll on though and I'll hit the bicycle later today when it cools off from the 400** degrees out there now....

I hear you on the sore legs, Dee! Saw your pics of the floor on FB and it looks great!

I'm still working on the patio pavers a few at a time. Doing squats with 36lb pavers has my legs a tad sore too

With hot weather, I've been making Bella walk in the grass instead of on the sidewalk or street to keep her paws safe. But that means her claws grow out since they are not "self filed" by the hard surface. Took her to Petco for a nail trim yesterday, and she did really well for her first groomer interaction. She wasn't having any part of the dremel nail tool tho, so she ended up just getting them clipped.

Even using a regular nail clipper is a big ole argument between Bella and me. I'm hoping a few trips to the groomer will get her more used to it.

Row 4 of the patio is complete...gotta get some more pavers before I can continue. Right now it's at an approx size of 8x5.5 :)

Observe the dog's nail when a regular trimmer cuts....it's almost a nail explosion and not a good clean cut...Years back I had 2 Pits to trim....I used a set of the regular clippers but I sharpened both sides like a laser...They're called anvil trimmers and have an anvil (flat) and cutting side.....Now when really sharp like these were they cut nails like butter and everything was fine....Those trimmers have log been mis-placed....For Spike I use human toe nail clippers....They're sharp and he still ain't digging it....His gut cut overtime mine do.....

Dee, I use regular human toenail clippers on Bella's dew claws. She'll let me trim those, just not the rest of her nails. And I agree about the trimmers that splinter the nails.

    Need a new pic,Bov:)

Here ya go, Fran. It's not perfection, but then again...neither am I

    The patio looks nice....

Got just about all the trim work done in the bedroom....One door remains and only because I effed it up....Little more trim and a little more sheetrock finishing and it's paint time....Came down with a nasty head cold last night and I'm not doing sheet until I feel better....the old achy, snotty over 100* outside head cold....

    Happy Independence Day!!

Bleh, Dee...hoping your snot head is of short duration! Pokey is just getting over a bad summer cold that clung to her for a couple of weeks :(

It has been unbearably hot here, with heat and air quality advisories. Heat index of 107 yesterday, so no more work on the patio this week. Even Bella doesn't want to go outside any more than she has to.
